Markn455 Posted July 15, 2013 at 12:41 AM Report Share Posted July 15, 2013 at 12:41 AM The owner's manual talks about DRL on the Fusion. It's disappointing that they seem to have dropped them from the Energi? Of if they are suppose to be there, mine don't work. Anyone else notice this or looked into the matter? I am coming off a car that had DRLs. Maybe it's new car paranoia but is sure seems like people are pulling out in front of me much sooner in the Fusion Energi. Russael Posted July 15, 2013 at 11:49 AM Report Share Posted July 15, 2013 at 11:49 AM I don't recall DRLs being an option (or a feature) on the window stickers of US produced ones. I think DRLs are mostly a Canadian thing. Ford wasn't too big on them to begin with (which I prefer... I thought it was wasteful to have lights on during the day), but I know there were quite a few Canadian ones that came with DRLs. I checked a couple window stickers for Fusion Hybrids shipped to Canada but I don't see DRLs listed on those either.
Rhyalus Posted July 15, 2013 at 01:18 PM Report Share Posted July 15, 2013 at 01:18 PM I am not a fan of these, either. When I want my lights on, I just turn them on. DRLs are a discount for insurance, however. That is one vote in their favor. R
BadRock Posted July 15, 2013 at 09:21 PM Report Share Posted July 15, 2013 at 09:21 PM You have to have a FIN to order the option in the US. FIN = Fleet Identification Number
Depauwler Posted July 16, 2013 at 12:05 AM Report Share Posted July 16, 2013 at 12:05 AM I noticed the lack as well, then figured it must be an energy saving omission. Oh well. I'll have to get back into the habit of making sure to use them.
