The powertrain control system has detected a fault in the High Voltage Battery. Vehicle motion may be disabled.

Two days ago I took my 2016 FFE to dealer for the remainder of the 150k mile service:  transmission fluid drain and refill, engine coolant drain, flush, and refill, high voltage inverter coolant drain, flush, and refill.

Yesterday I got a CEL and my FordPass app sent me this message:

"The powertrain control system has detected a fault in the High Voltage Battery. Vehicle motion may be disabled."

Could drain, flush, refill on HV inverter have anything to do with the way too close for me to think it's coincidence check engine light and HVB warning?

The "vehicle motion may be disabled" had me a little concerned, so I called and took it back to the shop:

CUSTOMER STATES THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON.  DIAG.

READ AND UNDERSTOOD THE CUSTOMERS CONCERN. STARTED THE

VEHICLE AND VERIFIED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. BROUGHT THE

VEHICLE INTO THE SERVICE BAY AND INSTALLED AN IDS TO READ THE

STORED CODES.

CMDTC BECM P0DBA HYBRID/EV BATTERY CELL BALANCING CIRCUIT 'D'

STUCK OFF. CHECKED OASIS AND FOUND NO RELATED MESSAGES.

FOLLOWED THE PINPOINT TEST. VEHICLE WAS CONNECTED TO A

CHARGER TO CHARGE THE HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY FOR PINPOINT

TEST.

ALL TESTS PASSED. PINPOINT TEST STATED "CONCERN HAS BEEN

RESOLVED BY CHARGING THE HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY"

IF THE CONCERN HAPPENS AGAIN, FURTHER DIAG WILL BE NEEDED.
