larryh Posted July 9, 2013 at 05:59 PM Report Share Posted July 9, 2013 at 05:59 PM I notice on both the driver and passenger windows, the black trim separating the front lower triangular corner of the window and the main window on the outside is popping out at the top. I went to the dealer and saw the same thing on several of their cars in the lot. I push the trim back in the slot, but it pops out again. I gently pounded on it with my fist, and it seems to stay better. I am waiting to here from the dealer if there is a fix for that. I think they need to come up with a better way of attaching the trim.

larryh Posted July 16, 2013 at 10:27 PM Author Report Share Posted July 16, 2013 at 10:27 PM I inquired again with the dealer regarding this issue. They offered to replace the windows, but that seems like a lot of inconvenience and it probably won't solve the problem. The new windows would have the same issue. So, for now, when the trim pops out, I will have to gently pound it back in, until Ford announces a real fix for the problem.

GregKet1 Posted January 24, 2014 at 06:54 PM Report Share Posted January 24, 2014 at 06:54 PM Mine was doing this too. The dealer, according to the service report, "added extra double-sided tape" and it hasn't come loose again.
seadiel Posted September 15, 2014 at 10:56 PM Report Share Posted September 15, 2014 at 10:56 PM I have this same problem. There fix on the report was "Pushed trim back into place". So of course it popped out the next day I just added superglue myself and was done with it.
Eric4539 Posted September 16, 2014 at 01:25 AM Report Share Posted September 16, 2014 at 01:25 AM There is a TSB for this issue. However I cannot tell you exactly what my dealer did, but the trim seems to be solidly in place now. My work order just states that this TSB was performed. TSB 13-12-
Hybridbear Posted September 16, 2014 at 08:04 PM Report Share Posted September 16, 2014 at 08:04 PM Someone posted on the hybrid forum that the TSB calls for replacing the affected pieces with a redesigned trim piece.
Markn455 Posted October 8, 2014 at 04:23 AM Report Share Posted October 8, 2014 at 04:23 AM I took mine in three times for this problem. The plastic trI'm part number changed. The new version didn't stay any better I took it back again. This time, it seems to have been fixed.
