Russael Posted June 26, 2013 at 11:07 PM Report Share Posted June 26, 2013 at 11:07 PM Meh. Well, you jump in when you jump in. Would've been nice to save another grand, but then I would've had to wait even longer. :) No different from cell phones or computers... as soon as you jump in, something better comes along. Still, for those who have not yet signed off a check to Ford... more incentive for you guys. jeff_h
NoVaEVluv Posted June 27, 2013 at 01:06 AM Report Share Posted June 27, 2013 at 01:06 AM Is this on top of the $3750 "incentive" that is the tax rebate? Nice. I haven't gotten mine yet.
Russael Posted June 27, 2013 at 01:16 AM Report Share Posted June 27, 2013 at 01:16 AM The 3751 is a government incentive completely apart from Ford. Uncle Sam says when that stays or goes. So yes, you can get 2500 off from Ford themselves, plus a 750 private coupon (I just got another one today, can be combined with X Plan, but not A, Z, or D) if you have it from Ford as well. If you can get X-Plan, you can get even more off. I find it fun when people tell me the car is too expensive. Then they talk about getting an Edge (which is actually more expensive than the Fusion Energi with the same trim level, nevermind all the additional fuel)... F150's? More expensive at higher trims (55k!!!). Expeditions? More expensive... Explorer? Expensive. Taurus Limited? More expensive. You can even get an Escape approaching the cost of a Fusion Energi. In all, the Fusion Energi is reasonably priced in my opinion especially with all the tech jammed in to it. Mr. Fusion
TX NRG Posted June 29, 2013 at 04:29 AM Report Share Posted June 29, 2013 at 04:29 AM Those extra incentives are tempting. Will need to decide between waiting on the '14s or picking up a new but nearly 1 year old '13 (depreciation). Decisions, decisions.

Will need to decide between waiting on the '14s or picking up a new but nearly 1 year old '13 (depreciation). Decisions, decisions. If the $1,500 + $1,000 rebates + $750 coupon plus $3,751 tax credit were all in place several months ago, we would have had two Energis. I got $500 rebate (no $750 coupon) on my SE Hybrid back in January, we got $1,500 rebate + $750 coupon plus tax credit for hers in April... oh well sometimes the timing works out for you, sometimes it doesn't. larryh Posted July 5, 2013 at 11:53 AM Author Report Share Posted July 5, 2013 at 11:53 AM (edited) It looks like the incentives for the 2014 Energi are $500: Retail Customer Cash (Program #12376)Cash Incentive: $500 Offer Valid: 2013-07-02 - 2013-09-30 Program #12376:Take new retail delivery from dealer stock by 09/30/2013. Not all Fusion Energi models may qualify. See dealer for residency restrictions and complete details. In addition, the MSRP of the 2014 Titanium Energi has increased by $400 over the 2013 Titanium Energi. The SE prices for the two years remain the same. TX NRG Posted July 6, 2013 at 05:26 AM Report Share Posted July 6, 2013 at 05:26 AM I took advantage of the incentives that ended 7/1 (the $1,500 + $1,000 rebates) + $750 coupon I had that was expiring 7/8 and combined it with X-Plan pricing. The timing worked for me as my old car would soon need brakes and 2 tires within a few months and I didn't want to make that investment or have the stress of waiting on floating delivery dates for a 2014, especially if ordering the "late availability" components like the cooled 10 way passenger seat. Love the car! jeff_h and meyersnole
surfandswim Posted July 6, 2013 at 09:30 PM Report Share Posted July 6, 2013 at 09:30 PM bought mine on 6/13. Energi SE...Nav, Moonroof, Driver Assist, Reverse Sensing...MSRP was 42,480. Dealer sale discount, $3990, plus $1500 rebate, $36,990, plus a LoJack they had in it. 795. So with LoJack I paid 37,785. I hope that was a good price. After I get my 3750 federal and 1500 CA rebate the price will be $32,785.
jrnf Posted August 7, 2013 at 10:14 PM Report Share Posted August 7, 2013 at 10:14 PM According to Inside EVs, the 2014 Fusion Energi is now eligible for up to $3,000 in incentives. http://insideevs.com/ford-has-rebates-up-to-5000-on-c-max-energi-and-fusion-energi-to-compete-with-new-volt-pricing/
TX NRG Posted August 14, 2013 at 01:53 AM Report Share Posted August 14, 2013 at 01:53 AM According to the Ford website and doing a build and price, the purchase incentive is only $500 or 3.9%/72 mos for a 2014 Energi Titanium in my area delivered from dealer stock by 9/30. The 2013's have $2,500 cash back or $1,000 + 3.9%72 mos for delivery by Sep 3rd, with a $400 cheaper base price on the 2013's.
EnergiCCAATS Posted September 14, 2013 at 10:07 PM Report Share Posted September 14, 2013 at 10:07 PM Here's what I don't understand. When doing a build and price on the website and entering either my zip code or the zip code in the area where I have found a vehicle, the incentive listed is $3750 off either a 2013 or 2014 Energi Titanium from dealer stock by 9/30 (program #50204 under RCL customer cash). However when viewing specific dealer stock, the RCL customer cash shown is only $2500 for 2013 models and $500 for 2014. Why is this? If I have printed off the summary with build and price will a dealer honor that on a 2014?

I believe you're looking at two different things... the $3,750 'RCL' means Red Carpet Lease, which would apply if you were going to lease. The $2,500 for 2013 or $500 for 2014 is likely the current incentives for purchase (not lease).
EnergiCCAATS Posted September 14, 2013 at 10:12 PM Report Share Posted September 14, 2013 at 10:12 PM Ok, thanks didn't realize the RCL was for lease.
TX NRG Posted September 15, 2013 at 04:38 AM Report Share Posted September 15, 2013 at 04:38 AM When doing a build and price, you need to switch between the lease and financing choices at the end. Also note that the fed tax credit for when you purchase was just increased by $256 to $4,007. The RCL incentive hasn't been increased. http://www.irs.gov/Businesses/30D.-New-Qualified-Plug-in-Electric-Drive-Motor-Vehicles-–-Ford-Motor-Company shaggy314

timf Posted September 16, 2013 at 07:16 PM Report Share Posted September 16, 2013 at 07:16 PM If I had to guess, they changed the calculation to give credit for the full capacity of the battery rather than rounding down to the nearest full kWh. With a 7.6 kWh battery, that was 600 Wh of energy that weren't getting credited before which works out to around $250.
dlb92 Posted September 16, 2013 at 09:25 PM Report Share Posted September 16, 2013 at 09:25 PM We should get a bonus for the Energi having a more efficient use of battery.
bjorn Posted September 22, 2013 at 06:49 PM Report Share Posted September 22, 2013 at 06:49 PM Starting 9/18, the total Ford incentive rebates totals to $5,500 for the 2013 models. That includes $1,000 for customers coming from other brands than Ford. I just picked up my 2013 Energi Titanium yesterday. If anyone else is waiting for a great time to buy, now is the time.
