  1. Hello! I just received my 2017 Ford Fusion Energi Platinum that I ordered 10 weeks ago last Tuesday. Every since then, I've been trying to set up MyFord Mobile, but I can never reach the step of getting the on-screen prompt in the car. I've read through many posts on this forum and have tried several combinations of deleting the account, re-registering, resetting, unplugging the negative connection to the battery in the trunk, etc..., but I still have had no luck. I've been able to get FordPass to connect, but it doesn't have any of the cool features for the Energi like MFM would. In fact, when using FordPass, it says that I have an Energi and that I need to use MyFord Mobile to connect to the car. Every time I have registered the car, I have used the VIN. I wanted to try using the ESN, but I believe there may be an issue. On the 'About Sync' screen in the car it displays information about SYNC 3 Software Version, Onboard Modem Serial Number (ESN), Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), Gracenote Version, Navigation Maps Version, and SYNC Serial Number (ESN). For Onboard Modem Serial Number, there is no value. Just a blank. When I try to use the SYNC Serial Number, it says that it is not compatible with MyFord Mobile. This has me thinking that the ESN I need is the Onboard Modem Serial Number. Since after all my tries, this value has always been blank, is that the reason I can not get to the confirmation step on MFM? Maybe the Onboard Modem isn't functional? Is that the ESN that I really need? Any assistance that you can provide would be greatly appreciated!!!!
  2. Hey all, I am new to these parts but not without a question. I am sure someone here knows what to do... I just bought a used 2014 Ford Fusion Energi SE Luxury with 40k miles on it at my local ford dealer. I attempted to add my vehicle to my own myford mobile account and I currently have the step 3 confirmation stage showing when I click on my car in MFM. Its been 2 days and I still have yet to see this elusive screen its promising me will show up. I can't confirm the car so I can enable MFM tracking. Any ideas what i can do to help it out? I was reading that some people pull a fuse? Not sure which one if that's really the fix.
  3. Hi All, Like a lot of you My Ford Mobile quit working for us two weeks ago. MFM has been working fine every since the modem replacement was done back in February 2016. It can't be a coincidence that AT&T is shutting down its 2G networks and now MFM has stopped working for a lot of MFM customers. I have a theory that when the dealer replaced the modem they took out the original 2G modem and put in another 2G modem. From talking to the service manager he did say that the way that program was carried out was highly disorganized and the techs have no idea if the replacement modems they were receiving were the new ones or just another 2G. Currently my system inforamation is showing the CPPM ENS is "UNKNOWN" so either the TCU has failed or there's no one answering its call perhaps because it's trying to phone home on a frequency where no one is listening anymore. I am trying to find the TCU/modem in our 2016 C-Max Energi but its location seems to be a well guarded secret. Pretty sure it is in the rear of the car some place but so far I've pulled ever panel and not seeing anything that looks like what I need. I did find the keyless entry model in the rear behind a panel on the left side of the interior but I don't think that is also the TCU? Does anyone know where the TCU is and what it looks like?
  4. I really did not want to start a new topic of conversation, but after reading the multiple threads, feels like there are no answers that are specific enough... Second time now, within 2 weeks, my 2017 Fusion Energi loosing connection to MFM app and loosing Onboard Modem serial number, effectively preventing the sync to the MFM and to go times. Happens on the 120V home charger. Already removed and reinstalled fuse 10 once, fixing the issue. But have anyone figure out the root cause of the issue? The fuse is 5amp fuse, possibly Voltage spike? I also noticed that I left the car plugged in for 2 days when issue occurs (is this a problem?). What I really struggle with is there seems to be not a logical explanation to cause-and-effect. Is the Modem fails because fuse is tripped? Is the fix really to remove-reinstall the fuse or re-registration with MFM is required after each occurrence?
  5. I just bought a 2015 Fusion Energi Titanium 11 days ago and am loving it so far. Trying to read and learn as much as I can but am stumped at the moment. I have set up the Go Times and Value Charge through the dash, set to on for Value Charge and not Now Charge. I have tried signing up for the MyFord Mobile app and it will not confirm with the car. I also see on my Gas & Electric account that it is not charging on the Value Charge times, but starts when I plug it in. I have read that it will charge the first 10% if below but wait for the remainder to charge to do at the Value Charge times. It is not doing that. It is consistent from the time I plug in. I also read that MFM is no longer being supported after Aug 1 (car bought Aug 11th). So my questions are: 1. Does MFM have to link to car in order for Value Charge to work? 2. Is there a way to get Value Charge to work without MFM? 3. I tried doing the Sync Update through the dash and it tried dialing and I received a recording saying it was no longer supported. What do I do? Can I even get this fixed/resolved or is it just disabled/not supported and I'm screwed? I am tech savvy and would ideally love to have the app synced and working for data usage, if possible. Thoughts? Suggestions?
  6. I have a 2017 Ford Fusion Energi Titanium and MFM stopped updating a few days after I got it. I called into support and they said to pull a fuse (which I couldn't find at the time) but now I don't remember which fuse they said to pull. Anyone know or do I just need to call back into support? I even took it to the dealership and they said I'd need to bring it in for service so the electrical guys could take a look. I would prefer not to do a 12V cable pull because I don't want to lose any historical data. Thanks. -Tyler
  7. Hello. Does anyone use Ford apps outside of MFM? When I tried to sync my Energi with FordPass, it redirected me to MFM. Is this normal; Ford is pushing FordPass in its advertisements and Ford Owner site, but I think that's for all OTHER compatible vehicles. Just wondering. Thanks.
  8. After my 2013 FFE SE was totaled I purchased a new 2017 FFE Titanium. I added to My Ford Mobile. The functions work well and quicker than the old 2013 car. However the car image is a fuzzy pic of a C-Max and the wrong color. There is no place to change the car color, either in the app or on the website. Also I cannot change the name of the car. I misspelled a name and want to correct it. Does anyone else have this issue? I have a case in the with the MFM support line but they have not responded.
  9. I have a 2016 Fusion Energi and previously owned a 2013 Energi. The old car worked great with MFM. The new car (purchased last November) hasn't worked at all for advanced features. I have successfully completed all four steps of the verification. I can track odometer and remote start the car (via the Web site). If I try it on a mobile phone I get an error (-1). The Website won't let me save anything and the section to choose the vehicle color is blank. I've tried every browser imaginable, on probably five different computers. I have spoken to the MFM technicians five different times. The first one (December) said it was a known problem and to "check back in six weeks." I did, and after waiting a half hour to speak to someone, I was told to pull fuse 10, which he said was under the left instrument panel. The owner's manual was required to tell me it's now in the hood, but I pulled that for 10 minutes. Did nothing. Called back the next day - too late: they were closed. Called the next week, was told to pull Fuse 15. Did nothing. Rep said it may "take up to 24 hours to work." Nope. Nothing. Disconnected the 12V battery for a half hour from the next rep - nothing at all. Dealer has looked at it three times but says there's nothing wrong with the vehicle, and that I have to call Ford (they refuse). I've been reading the forums, but all of the other users I've seen can't get past step 3. I have no problems finishing all steps - it's that I can't set up the profile in MFM and the mobile apps error out before I can get in them after they try to access the VIN. Help?
  10. My Ford Mobile used to be a nice way to track how much fuel you were saving and give you an idea of how economically you drove. It had the side effect of making a better driver out of people who previously were "lane swervers", "peddle mashers", "tail gaters (not the football kind)", "hard stoppers", and "speeders". I welcomed the effect it has had on my driving. Until....... MY COMMUNITY!!!! I have noticed in the MY Community section of My Ford Mobile (MFM) that you are ranked on not using gas, regenerating miles from braking, average driving score, and average ratio of electric:gas. I am at a disadvantage of getting some of the highest rankings due to my average daily travel ( >22 miles), average speed on highways (>55 mph), and the unpredictable madness of stop n go rush hour traffic braking. So, to make up for those disadvantages, I try to get the best scores possible when not in those situations. I didn't think I had a problem until today. First, I used the "Gas Buddy" app to find the least expensive gas in my area. Then I calculated if driving a further distance to get cheaper gas would make sense. (It did.) I had a full big battery and set out on my 16.2 mile round-trip to buy gas that was .08/gallon cheaper. The trip would cost me approximately $0.70. The savings would be $0.96. I set off on my trip. This is when the madness began. Pulled out of my drive to head out of my development. Hit a small grade, started braking and the engine comes on. NOOOOO!!!!!!! :drop: this will drop my score due to the engine running. Maybe I can recover. It ran for less than 15 seconds. Maybe the computer won't notice. I continue on my trip out of town. It's gonna be mostly uphill for this trip so I can't expect a really high 3 digit MPGe score. Oh well. Advanced Cruise Control is set for 49 mph (50mph zone). I'm cruising. :shift: I see a traffic signal ahead. No one is around. It should stay green for me. 500 yards...400 yards...300 yards....200 yards... YELLOW....Can I make it....RED! You sonuvab!@$&!!!! Brake score 67%.... Made it to the gas station with few other surprises. Braking score-89% EV 100% (Whew!! It didn't notice) Driving score-90. 129 MPGe. Not bad. I wanted almost perfect to increase my ranking. Now it's time for the trip back. Mostly downhill. This should be cake!! Wrong....... Heading on my way home. Got the cruise control going. Dude behind me is pissed. He thinks I should be going 70 in a 50. Goes around me, gets in front and slams on the brakes. That ain't good for my braking score. Continue on. Road-rage-sunday-driver leaves me in his dust. Good for him. Hey remember that traffic light I talked about earlier? Yeah. It got me again. I wanted to slow down proactively on approach, but I didn't think that would go over well for the cars behind me. Braking score- 56% :banghead: The only thing I had going for me on the return trip was the amount of downhill stretches. This allowed me to get more regen miles and offset the 2 crappy braking scores. 100% EV, 91% Braking Score, 168 MPGe Driving Score.........85??!! I can get that driving score on I-95!!!! I found myself actually getting mad when I didn't brake better or when I couldn't be as efficient as I liked. WTH is that all about?!??!? The MY COMMUNITY aspect makes me even crazier about driving economically than I should otherwise be. Anyone else?
  11. Recently I have been getting trips that have been mostly battery but the the % EV, kWh, EV Miles, MPG, Brake Score and Regen Miles are showing 0. These trips have been after a full charge and the next (return trip) show normal values. Has anyone else seen this?
  12. I have had my Fusion SE Energi 4 weeks now and doing well with it and most of the learning curve. One problem, though. MFM is working perfect but for the car image which is a fuzzy white Focus and not a Fusion. I've checked my VIN and it is correct. I suspect the software probably is supposed to automatically add the pic from it. It doesn't and under the vehicle color I should have a list of colors and I don't. It is the same on my iPhone, iPad and PC using both Internet Explorer and Chrome. Has anyone experienced these problems and fixed them? Is there a support website? If so, could you please post it for me? Thanks in advance.
  13. Whenever I park my FFE in the second level (i.e. two levels down) of the underground garage at my office building - that is where I can charge the car - , MFM cannot locate the car anymore and therefore I am unable to check the charge level or change Go Times. My understanding is that Ford uses the AT&T network for their data connections. My cell phone (voice and data) on the other hand, also on the AT&T network, works well. Could it be that the data connection in the FFE is much weaker than on a cell phone? Does anybody else experience this behaviour or has any thoughts on this? Thanks
  14. From the album: Car

The is the power consumption from the 120 V Charger after pressing the update button at the MFM web site.
  15. I just went to MFM on my PC to check on the charging status of my Car. It still showed my car as though it was at home. I also checked with my phone and it showed the same info. I tried to update on both the PC and the phone and they say the update failed. Anybody else having difficulties? Thanks in advance, Peace, Fr. Bill
  16. From the album: Car

MFM is showing incorrect charge information in the Trip & Charge Log.
  17. From the album: Car

My latest trip is recorded nine times in the Trip and Charge Log at MFM.
  18. Is anybody else noticing that MFM seems to be down. I have been trying to login since 11AM CST and it says down for scheduled maintenance. Just curious. Peace, Father Bill
  19. I have noticed that MFM is very good about reporting my longer trips 10 miles or more. But when I take a short trip in between the longer ones MFM does not recognize them. Is anyone else finding this behavior? :sos:
