  1. Hi All, I love my new Fusion Energy Titanium and have enjoyed every one of the first 1,500 miles. The charging port door popped off in my hands twice. I thought it seemed delicate, but I had never had a plug-in car before and didn't know what to expect. Then it fell off while I was driving or, as the dealer service department suggests, was vandalized. (The port is not on the street side of the car when parked). Now I am discussing the repair with the dealer service team. They say that it is not a known problem and is not covered under the new car warranty. The Parts Dept quoted $71 for the door itself and $131 for the housing it sits in. This does not include labor painting or installation. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Thanks for your help. Deb
  2. Hello All, I'm a new member of the forum and owner of a 2015 Energi Titanium in Silver Ingot. Ever since I bought the vehicle, I've noticed at times (not always) that I hear a rattling coming from the left front of the car at 50+ mph. I have narrowed everything else down to it being the charge door being loose and rattling, and to further boost my suspicion, it seems to not always be present and seems to disappear when there is less aerodynamic turbulence in that area (such as driving to the right of a truck). Has anyone else had this issue? Being that the car is obvious very quiet in EV mode, it's very annoying since it's the only rattle or noise this car makes. I haven't taken it up with my dealership yet because I don't want to be known as the guy who complains about a noise that they surely won't be able to replicate because that's just Murphy's Law. It does seem to be rather loose when it closes and there certainly does seem to be enough gap for wind to get in there. There does not seem to be a way to adjust it. I'd be curious if anyone else has such a rattle and if there has been any success in resolving it either through the dealer or perhaps using some sort of product to keep it more secure. Kindest regards, Pete
  3. Purchased car last March. Have had the car into the dealer 6 times for these problems,. They say that the car is throwing a fault code (which is directly related to these systems) but because they cannot get the problem to repeat when it is in their posession, they cannot do anything about it. I have taken videos, but they won't accept that. I told them to keep the car for a week and have the service mgr drive it to and from work every day. They said they would, but only had him drive it one day and then returned it to me because he could find nothing wrong. Ford Motor Company assigned a person to my "case" and then my dealership was sold a month later and she never contacted me again and doesn't respond to my voicemails. I have a failure in one of these two systems about every 3-4 days (also having problems with collision avoidance system). I keep a log in my phone and try to note each failure when it happens but know that I'm not catching everything. My kids, my friends, my husband all have seen these problems. PROBLEM: Touch the sensor inside inside the door handle and the door will not unlock (with keys right next to the door) Touch the sensor lines on top of the door handle and door will not lock. 67 failures noted of these two items. I have tried it with both key FOBs because I thought that the batteries were dead, but same thing with both. I would like to know if anyone else is having any problems with these? Maybe you are, but just haven't really paid attention to it or you just don't realize how often it is happening?
  4. Just wanted to share with everyone and make sure no one else is missing their light... I don't really know what to call this part however it is the little red light on the door panel that indicates the door is locked. Went to Ford and they have ordered the part to replace....
