Hello! I have a 2014 Fusion Energi Titanium. Several months ago noticed that, when I press on accelerator, a clicking/ticking sound comes form the lower passenger side, same happens when I release the accelerator. It feels like, when I accelerate, something turns on and when I release the accelerator, it turns off. Even if I am at a full stop and release the brake without pressing on accelerator itself, I can hear the sound. I think this might be normal. When the car needs a power to start moving, something turns on and when it does not need the power (when I release the accelerator) it turns off. Although, I do not think that it must be audible. Has anyone ever had this issue? And if so, should I be worried or is it normal? P.S. I found a video on Youtube and the sound I hear is similar, but only in cases I have mentioned above. Good afternoon everyone, I’m JayM, new member and owner of 2017 Fusion Energi with 58000km (36000miles) I had a headliner replaced and car rustproofed (respirated @ Krown ) The next day after battery depleted and engine came on there is a VERY LOUD humming noise coming from the vehicle as it sits around 1200-1500 rpm, such as waiting @ stop sign/red light. If I accelerate past the 1500 rpm noise disappears. No noise any other times, (Almost seems like VERY loud fan 70-80 dB). Has anyone experienced this? Just started couple of weeks ago. I rarely have engine running (43000km EV only) Thanking you in advance. JayM

I have a 2017 Energi Titanium that I took delivery of on December 15th. I have noticed an ever so slight "creaking" type of noise coming from the steering (not the steering wheel in the car) that sounds like it is coming from under the front of the car. It has done it since day 1. Most times I don't even hear it if the radio is on. It happens usually when I am pulling into my parking space at work or into my driveway at home. I am going no more than 2 mph and have the wheels turned almost all the way in either direction, usually with the brakes applied. Right when the wheel is almost turned all the way there is a creaking noise, almost like an old door in your house would make. I am hesitant to take it to the dealer for this as most times you can't even hear it.....and I just don't like the dealer messing with my cars! There is only about 3,500 miles on the car and it did it the first day, so I can't imagine there is really something wrong. I know these cars make a lot of clicking and relay closing and opening noises when you first start them up, and when you put it in and out of gear, and that is not the noise I am getting. This could be normal for the vehicle, so I thought I would check with everyone to see if anyone with a 17 or even prior year has heard this noise.

Hello All, I'm a new member of the forum and owner of a 2015 Energi Titanium in Silver Ingot. Ever since I bought the vehicle, I've noticed at times (not always) that I hear a rattling coming from the left front of the car at 50+ mph. I have narrowed everything else down to it being the charge door being loose and rattling, and to further boost my suspicion, it seems to not always be present and seems to disappear when there is less aerodynamic turbulence in that area (such as driving to the right of a truck). Has anyone else had this issue? Being that the car is obvious very quiet in EV mode, it's very annoying since it's the only rattle or noise this car makes. I haven't taken it up with my dealership yet because I don't want to be known as the guy who complains about a noise that they surely won't be able to replicate because that's just Murphy's Law. It does seem to be rather loose when it closes and there certainly does seem to be enough gap for wind to get in there. There does not seem to be a way to adjust it. I'd be curious if anyone else has such a rattle and if there has been any success in resolving it either through the dealer or perhaps using some sort of product to keep it more secure. Kindest regards, Pete
