Bitch mode: On Several annoyances this morning. I went to drive my son to school this morning and when I started the car there was a "See Owner's Manual" message with a picture of a little wrench. Not very informative... I drove my son to school, came home and then searched the manual. The Symbols Glossary on pages 7-9 doesn't show any symbol of a little wrench. Great, an incomplete manual. I kept searching the manual page by page and on page 82, under "Instrument Cluster" there is a symbol of a wrench which is associated with "Powertrain Fault": Contact your authorized dealer as soon as possible. OK, this could be bad. I decide I should run a Vehicle Health Report so I go out to the car and start it again... no fault shown. Oh yay, an intermittent issue. I run the Vehicle Health Report and there is no issue reported with the powertrain at all. So the health report is only "health at this particular instant"? No historical data is included? Also less than useful for diagnosing issues. *Sigh* If you are going to put computers in cars, please hire good programmers with diagnostic experience. This is proving useless. Bitch mode: off Has anyone seen this before?

Has anyone had this issue? When plugging in my Ford Fusion Energi to a Level 1 or Level 2 charge I get a flashing ring port (I heard it called "the flashing ring of death") and it never charges. I am heading to the dealer this morning to see if I can get any help. [Video] http://youtu.be/UX-PZa2Wtzk On the inside display I see "Fault - Inside Car". I have had my Fusion for more then a year and I love my car. This is the first major issue I have had. I hate driving on gas so I need to get this fixed.

Quick warning. Purchased new 2015 Ford Fusion Energi mid-Oct. After 27 days driving I had a fault when charging error message. What you may not know is as soon as your EV battery bank is depleted & is not accepting a charge, you can not drive your vehicle. It will not move even though it has an ICE. Took it to dealer and it took 20 days for the car to be fixed. Multiple calls between dealer & Ford engineers. Replaced just about every part imaginable. Was happy when I finally got car back. 28 days later, same charge fault. Now they've had the car for 4 more weeks and still don't have a fix. In total I've owned the car for 103 days. 55 days the car worked 48 days the car has been sitting at the dealer trying to be repaired. I don't know what the resolution will be nor the timing, but if you have this issue be ready for a long frustrating road. Ford may have built a great car, but I'd question their ability to diagnose and service the charging system. If I try hard, I can almost remember what my car looked like...

Having the A/C Compressor running when it is not needed wastes a lot of battery power. Have had my Energi Titanium for 2 weeks and the only way I could turn off the A/C compressor was by shutting off the entire Climate Control System. I read the owners manual. It says to push the A/C on/off switch on either the lower panel (the light next to it goes off and on) or the upper Climate Control touchscreen (light goes off/on with the lower one) The A/C compressor stays on though! I went to the dealer. Without admitting there is anything wrong with the Climate Control system, they said you have to go into the touchscreen and manually take the system off "AUTO" by selecting one of the airflow direction arrows above the "AUTO" button. This is not right and it would be nice to find all the Fusion owners with this glitch and ask Ford to fix the glitch. Just wondering how many fellow Fusion owners are experiencing the same problem? Happy EVing Hewlett .
