I have a 2013 FFE Titanium with the Intelligent Access Key FOB. I bought a third key as a spare. I have been trying to program it per the instructions manual. I can not seem to get it to work. Has anyone else been able to do this and how? My dealer want $99.00 to program it. Programming a Spare Intelligent Access Key Note: You can program a maximum for four intelligent access keys to your vehicle. You must have two previously programmed intelligent access keys inside your vehicle and the new unprogrammed intelligent access keys readily accessible. See an authorized dealer to have the spare key programmed if two previously programmed keys are not available. Make sure that the vehicle is off before beginning this procedure. Make sure that you close all the doors before beginning and that they remain closed throughout the procedure. Perform all steps within 30 seconds of starting the sequence. Stop and wait for at least one minute before starting again if you perform any steps out of sequence. Read and understand the entire procedure before you begin. E147165 Place a programmed intelligent access key in the backup slot in the center console. The key ring must be at the top with the buttons facing toward the rear. Wait 5 seconds, then press the START/STOP button. Remove the intelligent access key. Within 10 seconds, place a second programmed intelligent access key in the backup slot and press the START/STOP button. Wait 5 seconds, then press the START/STOP button again. Remove the intelligent access key. Wait 5 seconds, then place the unprogrammed intelligent access key in the backup slot and press the START/STOP button. Programming is now complete. Verify the remote control functions operate and the vehicle starts with the new intelligent access key. If programming was not successful, wait 10 seconds and repeat Steps 1 through 7. If you are still unsuccessful, take your vehicle to your authorized dealer.

So I can use the spare physical key that came with the car to open the driver door. Simple once you realize you use the tip of the key to press in a bit, then slide the lock cover toward the back of the car. Lucky I was at home where that extra key was. NOW the big question is what if I'm out on the road and not at home? Is there a physical key hidden in the key FOB's themselves? If so...how do you get the key out? Simply hold the FOB so you are looking at the lock and unlock buttons and they are pointed 'up'. Now turn the FOB over. You see a lit notch with a slot in it. Press a key or something 'gently' into that slot so you are sliding the notch toward the other end of the FOB. It just needs to go a little bit. Once you get this to move, you are now able to 'split' the FOB in half. It opens to reveal a small physical key which you can use on the drivers door. Remember to remove the cover as mentioned above in the first section. Make sure to put the key back in the exact same way when finished, and, gently snap the cover back together.
