I have a remote start issue that I can't solve. When I go Vehicle--> Remote Start ---> Climate Control all of the offerings are grayed out and you can not select them. The system is enabled and set to a 10 minute duration. Any ideas? I am not using MyKey and I have tried both keys, with the car "running" and in ACC mode. I've even tried accessing it while the car is started via remote start. Nothing seems to shake it.

Made a little trip to the Dealership after 9 days of owning the car... Even after reading the Manual, I couldn't figure out how to turn off A/C Compressor without shutting down the Climate Control System. According to the Owner's Manual, there are 3 apparent ways to turn the A/C off and on. 1. The 'touch screen' A/C soft key (with a green indicator showing when it is on) 2. The 'touch pad' A/C button below the screen (with a green light showing the A/C is on) 3. Voice Command "A/C On" or "A/C Off" Any of the above turns off the light next to the A/C button. However, the A/C Compressor is still running!!! Ford claims, this is the way it was engineered to work. People on this Forum and the Fusion Hybrid forum know this is not right. The Dealer suggested this 'Workaround' 1. Go into the Climate Control section of the MFD 2. Press the Dashboard Vents ventilation soft key option below the AUTO softkey on the MFD. 3. Touch the A/C button bottom middle of the MFD This is the only way to disengage the A/C compressor and gain 3-4 miles of EV range. The Climate Control System does not work according to the instructions in the Manual. No other Ford car or truck works this way. I would like to know that Ford knows of this defect so they can fix it in their next upgrade. Ford Fusion Energi Titanium 2013 638 mi.

Having the A/C Compressor running when it is not needed wastes a lot of battery power. Have had my Energi Titanium for 2 weeks and the only way I could turn off the A/C compressor was by shutting off the entire Climate Control System. I read the owners manual. It says to push the A/C on/off switch on either the lower panel (the light next to it goes off and on) or the upper Climate Control touchscreen (light goes off/on with the lower one) The A/C compressor stays on though! I went to the dealer. Without admitting there is anything wrong with the Climate Control system, they said you have to go into the touchscreen and manually take the system off "AUTO" by selecting one of the airflow direction arrows above the "AUTO" button. This is not right and it would be nice to find all the Fusion owners with this glitch and ask Ford to fix the glitch. Just wondering how many fellow Fusion owners are experiencing the same problem? Happy EVing Hewlett .
