The HOV lanes are getting so full that they are often moving no faster than other lanes. Of course, that could be due to the large violation rate we see. All you have to do is sit in a non HOV lane and watch the cars as they go by. (My car was in the shop for two weeks when a black thug broke out the side window and stole stuff- all on color video, so I was in a rental car for two weeks watching people go by with their stickers.) Tons of violators driving POS cars, looking like urban thugs with their hoodies pulled up covering their faces (does anyone but thug crooks do this when it is 70 degrees out and sunny?) I wish the CHP would work these lanes regularly and write some tickets for a change.

Please keep us posted. Also I went to the link for the Penske coil overs, how do you know that application will fit our cars? I am talking about the 2013-2015 Fusions. I would do coil-overs in an instant if there was a set that fit our cars.

The rear of my car is de-badged too.
-
Not sure what you mean, my Energi had an exhaust pipe sticking out on the passenger's side rear with a chrome tip if I recall correctly. The valance also had a cut out in the valance to allow the pipe to stick out.

No issues at all. With my insurance, the car is repaired to what it was at the time of the accident.

How much did that come down with the Eibach springs? Looks a tad low to me but could be the angle of the photo.
-
Thanks - I am considering doing springs to firm it up and lower it at most 1". Merry Christmas!

I did the exact same thing on my FFET, back in July when I got my '14 FFET, and also added the dual exhaust Ford muffler so it all works like it came from the factory that way. The muffler was about $300 delivered and comes with the entire pipe all the way up to the engine. I cut it off right at the muffler and had it welded to the stock Energy exhaust pipe and it bolted up like it was intended to be there. Everything fits perfectly and the car looks a lot nicer with the dual exhaust finishers IMO.

Yesterday I added a Steeda front strut brace and their rear sway bar. They both made a difference for the better. BTW, about 40 minutes start to finish total to install both. Extremely easy. Their rear sway bar is a very nice piece and a significant improvement over the stock rear bar. I am thinking about calling and speaking with Steeda re their springs. I would like to lower the car about 1" maximum to clean up the wheel/fender gap. I already have the 19" H spoke wheels and they made a pretty nice difference in ride and handling too. Why doesn't someone make a coilover setup for our cars?
-
Thanks for posting the springs from Steeda. I am familiar with them and wish they would get the ball rolling for a complete coil over system for the Fusions. My fear is that by replacing just the springs with out upgrading the shocks the car would being to bounce after it prematurely wears the shocks. That has been my experience in the past and the reason I prefer coil overs so I can adjust the damping and rebound.

I was in Charles City, VA and they had Fusion police cars all over the place. Actual marked police cars working patrol. Never got close enough to see particulars.
-
I recently saw Fusion police cars in VA. What kind of suspension do the police cars come with? Is it a special handling package for the police cars? I can not believe Bilstein, Koni or someone has not stepped up to address the aftermarket need for these cars to have better suspension. My '14 FFET handles terribly. It bounces like a 70's Cadillac going down the road and only has 6K miles on it. I really want a nice set of coilovers for the car to firm it up and lower it about 1". Come on somebody, step up to the plate and address this need for all of the Fusions on the road- PLEASE.

Well if I could figure out to post pictures here I would...... sorry. I take them with my iPhone and they are to big to post. How the heck do I resize them to allow them to post?

Hi all- I have a '14 FFET in Sterling Gray with about 3,500 miles on it now. I replaced the stock wheels with the Ford 19" "H" spoke wheels. I added body side molding, molded mud flaps, the low profile Ford rear spoiler (I ordered the car w/o a rear spoiler to do this), the shark fin antenna, clear bra to the front, windows tinted the lightest they make on the side windows and one shade darker on the rear window as well as a limo-tinted sun shade to the windshield. I de-badged (doors and trunk) it and also replaced the rear valance, trim, muffler and exhaust finishers with the non-hybrid Titanium parts so my FFET now has factory dual exhaust. I just could not abide the look of the single exhaust rear when the dual exhaust rear looks so nice. All painted to match and installed when the car was new. What I plan to do next is the Steeda rear sway bar and strut tower brace. I really wish someone made a good coil over kit for the car as it really rides way to soft and tends to bounce on the freeway - like an old 70's Cadillac. I average about 52 MPH given my 90 mile per day commute and love my HOV stickers.
