  1. I also have a 2014 Energi Titanium. You have me worried because my Energi has not started for me 2 different times now. Both times, I got in, pressed the brake pedal and hit start and everything looked like it started but the car did not start. I got a message saying press the brake pedal and hit start but no matter what I did (hit the brake pedal and hit start or try to change any of the screens), it would not start/ I also could not get the message to disappear (even by hitting the ok button on the steering wheel which usually clears up the message because all the screens were effectively frozen and could not be changed). Fortunately, my problem was fixed by me stepping out of the car, closing the door and locking the car from the key fob (which made the car beep the horn a few times), unlocking the car, getting back in and starting the car like I would normally do. Now I am worried that the next time this happens, I will need a tow.
  2. I tried getting the finance person at the dealer to match Flood or Anderson too but he wouldn't go lower than around $700 more than these two. The finance person also said he never heard of them and implied that they were not real deals. Has anyone had any experiences (good or bad) buying FORD ESPs from Flood or Anderson? I assume there is no problem getting service under FORD ESPs sold by Flood or Anderson (or any other out of state dealer for that matter). Thanks
  3. Yep, stickers are going fast. Since California is now posting a weekly sticker countdown, it looks like 206 stickers a day are being issued. At this rate, the stickers will be gone in a little less than 9 days after 3/28 or about 4/7 or 4/8. If the current rate keeps up, the stickers will be all gone before mid-April. There is proposed legislation to increase the number of PHEV green carpool stickers that just got through committee but I wouldn't hold your breath on that one unless it actually gets done. I'm enjoying the car so much (and regenerative braking) that not getting the sticker would be fine (but I am now a lot happier that I bought a car from a dealer that had carpool stickers for its energis already in hand).
  4. My thoughts exactly. I read about the stickers possibly being gone by mid to late April. With a 4-6 week backlog in the ordering process and being unable to submit the sticker application until I got license plates, I got nervous that even if I bought a car in late March I would not get the stickers before they ran out. Last week, I found a dealer that had the foresight to order stickers for all of its Energis. I probably ended up paying $400-500 more especially since the salesperson put the stickers on the desk while we were negotiating but still got a good deal and for an extra $8 at the time of purchase for the stickers, drove home in the carpool lane with the stickers attached to the car. I was going to buy the Fusion Energi at the end of year anyway but the stickers just kicked my timetable up a bit. Now I am belatedly researching chargers and electric rate plans but am enjoying saving gas and time on my commute.
  5. I revise my prior statement. My car had around 80 miles on it when I purchased it. Now that I am paying closer attention. I am getting around 42-45 mpg according to the trip computer per uncharged trip and have brought the 31 mpg overall number up to 63 mpg and still climbing according to the car now that I am charging at work (I often make the 25 mile trip home on just electricity). Makes me wonder how the car was being driven the first 80 miles at the dealership to get the relatively low 31 mpg number. The car has surpassed my mpg expectations so far (even the first 500 miles). Better yet, once I figure out the best option for setting up a charger in my garage (electric rate options are more complicated than I first thought), mpg will cease to have any meaning for me.
  6. Great forum. I just bought a 2014 Energi Titanium in Sterling Grey. I have been looking at the Fusion Energi ever since a bank of level 2 chargers was installed in my garage at work but was going to wait until I had the time to research chargers and to add a dedicated line in the garage (my garage only has 1 outlet that is taken up with garage door opener, freezer, and TV). The reason I bought early was because of the 0% financing and the fact that the California carpool stickers for plugs in will probably run out in April or May (36,000 of the 40,000 available carpool stickers were issued by the end of Feb. and they around 2500 to 3000 are being issued a month: with a 4-6 week backlog to get the stickers, waiting any longer means likely not getting a carpool sticker). Actually, once I realized the stickers may already be gone because of the application backlog, I jumped the gun and bought the Fusion (I would have bought anyway but the carpool sticker was the kicker for me). I bought the car with the stickers on it already (somehow, the dealer I went to had stickers for all their energis/ other dealers didn't) but don't have anywhere to plug it in at home yet. I have been scouring the forum (already got some good info) and the internet for options but need to find an electrician to set up the dedicated line first. If anyone has had a good experience with an electrician for this kind of work in Southern California (LA/Orange County), I would appreciate a referral. So far the car has been great. I will wait to get past the first 1000 miles to comment on mileage since so far I am getting around 31 mpg (but again, first 100 miles and based on no charge since I can't charge at home yet).
