  1. Look at the tax return that you just filed. Line 61 of form 1040 is the amount of tax that you owed to the IRS for 2013. That line on your 2014 return, that you will file in 2015, is the maximum tax credit that you can claim. This is a simplification. I don't know what the line numbers are if you filed a 1040A.
  2. You have to have enough taxable income to owe the IRS at least $4007 to be able to get the full tax credit.

  4. Mine do. :) http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/1049-ambient-lighting-in-console-cup-holders/?do=findComment&comment=5144
  5. It's 24 hours apart so someone test driving a car can't set up MFT for the car. Use the web site to set up MFT. Once it has been set up you can use the app. Make sure the car is in a location where it can get a strong AT&T cell phone signal. I much prefer the 21" screen on my computer for accessing MFT to the miniature screen on my smartphone.
  6. It appears to be the distance for the longest drive cycle in the last 30 days. I last put gas in my car at the end of December 2013, 265 miles from home. My longest drive distance since that trip is 11 miles. 11 miles is what my ranking is.
  7. Yes. They are more than child proof. When they are enabled it is not possible to open the rear doors from the inside.
  8. They can also be set up at the myfordmobile web site and in the my Ford Mobile app on a smartphone.
  9. By definition Neutral means there is no connection between the power source (ICE/electric motor) and the wheels. The wheels can't turn the generator if there is no connection. ;)
  10. There is an option in the center screen to turn the ring off.
  11. When you press the button on the plug wait 2 to 3 seconds before the plug is removed. Pressing the button initiates the disconnect signaling. See if that has any effect on the problem.
  12. Ashley has determined that the Owner's Manual is wrong. See this post in the Hybrid forum. http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/5886-oil-change-info-for-2013-hybrid/page-6?do=findComment&comment=75746

  14. The Energi has a pressurized fuel system. When the button is pushed the pressure is equalized before the door is opened. That's why it doesn't open right away.
  15. Unlike the credit for a car, which must be used all at once, the unused credit for solar can be carried forward to the following year. http://www.dsireusa.org/incentives/incentive.cfm?Incentive_Code=US37F
  16. Rooftop solar is the best decision I've made in a long time. I have a 10 kW grid tied system and now that the sun has returned and the days are longer I'm generating twice as much power as I use on days when there are no clouds. My electric bill last month was $7.12 which is the fixed charge. I banked 264 kWh for future use. The cost to charge my Energi is about $0.008 per kWh. Don't get caught in the trap of trying to figure out how long it will take the system to pay for itself. Treat is as an improvement to the house like you would with the addition of an in ground swimming pool. There is a 30% federal tax credit against the cost of the system. The state of PA also paid $7500 directly to the installer which reduced my cost by that amount. The only downside is the horrible winter that just passed. Solar panels don't generate power when they are covered with snow.
  17. That would require a software update. The current software has the wrong parameters for a bigger battery.
  18. Any of the moderators can update the thread if a new TSB is discovered. That is unlikely to happen since Ford sealed off the loophole that allowed TSB's to be viewed by anyone. Now only Ford employees and dealers can see them.
  19. Because it is just a list of TSBs. No comments are needed or wanted in that list.
  20. Was the battery fully charged before you hooked up the Tender? A battery tender is not a battery charger. It will maintain a fully charged battery IF there is no load on the battery. It will not charge a battery or maintain a battery that has a load on it. I prefer a regular battery charger that switches to maintenance mode when the battery is fully charged.
  21. I've never seen a Tesla other than on their website. Wonder what running at 85 does to the Tesla driving range?
  22. Turn "Auto Dim" off and the brightness bar will appear.
  23. I have been unable to trigger an update from the MFM web site for at least a week. I assumed it was caused by the difficulty in getting an AT&T signal into my garage which has a steel door and stucco exterior. Stucco is installed on a wire mesh which will block radio signals. I'll move the car into the driveway and see what happens. Update: I just tried MFM update from my computer with the car still in the garage and it worked.
  24. I charge mine as soon as I arrive home to be ready for the next trip. The battery never drops to 0 or is charged to 100%. They use a range of something like 15% to 85% to provide maximum life for the battery. I have to believe that the computer is programmed to do what is best for the battery taking all environmental factors into consideration.
