Welcome aboard. In addition to wiring the garage for 240 you will have to purchase an EVSE that works on 240. The one that comes with the car only works on 120.

My car was built April 1, 2013 and I have individual records for all three keys. Note that each key must have its own account with a unique email address.

I don't use charge start times but I was watching the lower left corner as I drove. The number appeared to be around half way between the 240 volt and 120 volt estimates. When I got into EV+ range of home the number took a nose dive. I have an EVSE capable of 10 kW (40 amps). The number looks to be about 1/3 of reality so maybe the car remembers the maximum capability of the EVSE and uses that number. After I started charging the numbers seem reasonable although the estimate is always high. An empty battery takes 2:05 to fully charge. Charging completed at 3:56 PM.

You need an OBD II port scanner to get that kind of data.

EV Now forces electric mode. It is perfect for driving around town. The engine does not run at all. On the freeway EV Later works best since at freeway speeds you will burn through the battery very quickly. Leave your house is EV Now mode. When you reach the freeway on ramp switch to EV Later. When you reach the off ramp from the freeway switch back to EV Now for the low speed trip to work. Do you have the ability to charge the car at work? Auto mode uses the battery until it is exhausted and then switches to hybrid mode but the engine can start for any number of reasons. In EV Now the engine will only start for extreme reasons like flooring the accelerator pedal. I use EV Now all of the time since none of my normal driving involves a freeway. In 2014 I used very little gasoline since I did not make any out of town trips using my Energi and the furthest destination is 10 miles away. If you live in an area that gets cold the electric range will drop significantly with the heater in use. Setting GO times can help with that but a 240 volt charger is needed for GO times to be of any value. There is a lot to learn about the car. I've had mine since April 2013 and I still find new facts even now. There is a lot of information available in this forum. Welcome aboard.

Spare Tire search (I know another post) possible find
murphy replied to seadiel's topic in Tires & Wheels
It looks like there are scrape marks the whole way around the inside of the rim. Are you sure it clears the brake caliper? -
If you have a Scangauge II all four tire pressures can be displayed at the same time on the screen.

Purchase Titanium Fusion Energi in 2 Years for $21K
murphy replied to gtca's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
The federal tax credit on an Energi is $4007. A car has to have at least a 10 kWh battery to get the $7500 tax credit. However with a lease that doesn't apply to you. The leasing company owns the car and gets the tax credit. The leasing company should pass it through to you in the leasing contract. -
EV now not available - no apparent reason...

If it happens again display the power flow screen. It might give you a reason there. -
The most likely cause for overheated connections in a receptacle are the screws are not tight or the push-in holes were used instead of the screws. Push-in is fine for a table lamp but not for a continuous duty maximum load. That is my own opinion based on years of experience.

Early on I had to adopt the following procedure. I'm right handed. Remove charge plug with right hand. Transfer charge plug to left hand. Use right hand to close the door. If it's not done immediately I sometimes got interrupted and forgot to go back and close it. If someone opens the door while the car is parked it is unlikely they will be able to close it.

1. 120 volt charging is less efficient than 240 volt charging. 2. Part of the battery is reserved for hybrid mode and is not available for EV mode.

After dodging the dead 12vt battery issue for 2 years...
murphy replied to shaggy314's topic in Batteries & Charging
If the car is not driven at least 25 miles every other day the 12 volt battery needs to be directly charged to keep the car from running it down. Every time the car is accessed from MFM there is a significant load put on the 12 volt battery. The only time the car charges the 12 volt battery is when it is in RUN mode. At all other times the big battery is disconnected and the 12 volt battery is powering the car. The 12 volt battery may be charged at the end of charging the HVB from the wall but it doesn't always happen. If you get a text message or email from MFM saying the car is charged but the charger is still blinking, it is charging the 12 volt battery. I put an AGM battery in my car. That required the use of a hacksaw. The battery still drops to low charge levels but an AGM battery maintains its voltage at much lower charge levels than a wet cell lead acid battery does. -
Using premium in an engine designed for regular does nothing but waste money.

Destination selection works fine on my right dash screen. Selecting Home when already at home is either ignored or gives an error message saying that you are too close to the destination to create a route.

I was unable to program a third IA key using the instructions in the Owner's Manual. FordService was able to get my dealer to program the third key for me at no charge. I consider that significant because the same dealer has refused to enable the DRLs on my car.

The Energi has a pressurized fuel system. That is unique to the Energi. I would expect a warning light if the tank can't be pressurized. Did someone try to open the door without pushing the button on the driver's side of the console or pulling the release in the trunk?

I just thought of something I did last week when I couldn't contact the car from MFM. Push the lock button on your key fob to wake the car up and then try the MFM app.

What is the construction of the walls of your garage? Mine is stucco which is applied over a metal wire mesh. The wire mesh blocks radio signals from getting into the garage except through the windows. Move the car outside and then try to access it with the app.

prospective owner, a few questions about realistic mpg.
murphy replied to roastbeef's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
With a lease you are not eligible for the tax credit. The leasing company gets the credit. However most leasing companies will pass the credit through as an incentive. -
The Energi has an AT&T data radio embedded into the car. The MyFord Mobile app is used to communicate with the car. https://www.myfordmobile.com/content/mfm/app/site/login.html
