  1. My new modem was installed in November and is working fine most of the time. Try a different dealer.

    Ordered one Today

Welcome aboard. From spring through fall my engine usually doesn't run at all.
  3. Only one of the cables has to be disconnected to isolate the battery from the car.
  4. I use this one on 240 volts. http://www.ekmmetering.com/basic-kwh-meter-100a-120-240-volt-3-wire-60hz-ekm-25ids.html They also have a 120 volt version.
  5. A 12 volt battery is load tested by putting a large load on it and watching what happens to the voltage. I have a tester that puts a 100 ampere load on the battery for 10 seconds. During that time the voltage must stay above 11 volts or it's time for a new battery. https://www.amazon.com/Schumacher-BT-100-Battery-Load-Tester/dp/B000AMBOI0/ref=sr_1_4?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1488396978&sr=1-4&keywords=battery+load+tester
  6. From spring through fall I drive in EV Now and the engine never starts unless I completely discharge the HVB.
  7. The only way I know to get it is to buy the book from http://www.helminc.com
  8. My engine stops at every stop light and also while cruising down the road. It starts automatically when the accelerator pedal calls for more power than the battery can supply. Spring through fall my engine usually does not start at all. I do most of my driving on battery only. Put the car in EV Only with a fully charged battery and temperatures above 75°and you can go 21 miles without the engine starting at all unless you floor the accelerator pedal and keep it floored. Above 85 mph the engine will always be running.
  9. The car uses a Ford AT&T account. It doesn't matter who your cellphone carrier is.
  10. 1. All 2013 Energis had to be updated. It was built with a 2G modem and AT&T shut down 2G service 12/31/16. 2. The charge ring only has 4 segments. The second segment on mine burned out late last year. 4. Do not drive at freeway speeds on battery only. That will use up the battery in a hurry. Air drag increases with the square of the speed. Use EV later when on the freeway and save EV Only for local driving. Also the heater puts a 5 kW load on the battery. A warm coat, gloves and the seat heater will give you better mileage. The range number is an estimate. There is no way to actually measure the charge level in a battery. Sitting in your driveway with the car in EV Only mode note the range number. Turn on the heater and watch what happens to the range number. It sounds like the 12 volt battery needs to be replaced and the DC to DC converter checked to verify that it is charging the battery. The car does not have a starter motor or an alternator. The high voltage battery starts the engine and the DC to DC converter takes the place of an alternator.
  11. Send a private message to FordIVTteam and she will open a case for you. http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/user/568-fordivtteam/
  12. In my 2013 they display elapsed time, miles traveled, kWh used, EV miles, gallons of gasoline used, and MPGe. They can be reset at the beginning of a trip but there is no way to stop the clock so you will have to write down the elapsed time when you arrive.
  13. I would hope that a 2017 was designed with the newer modem as standard. Putting a 2G modem in a 2013 was a silly mistake because even then the shutdown of 2G service was known.
  14. There are two trip meters that can be configured in the dashboard display.
  15. It's working okay with my 2013, via the app and the web site.
  16. To add to what openair said there is no known method to measure the charge in a battery. It is based on mathematical calculations. In otherwords a SWAG.
  17. It is by design. Once the engine is warmed up it will always shut off if it is not needed. That includes while you are driving down the road. That is the hallmark of a hybrid vehicle.
  18. For high speed driving put the car in EV later mode. The drag from pushing through the air, which is denser when it is cold, will reduce the EV mileage. Keep EV only mode for slow traffic and city streets. Cold weather is brutal. The car will work much better when the temperature gets up to 70 degrees. When the temperature is over 70 I can do a 21 mile round trip without running out of battery. In the winter I can only do half of that trip before the battery is empty.
  19. Welcome aboard. Since you are in "cold" country it is important to know that cold weather reduces the efficiency of the HVB (High Voltage Battery). The heater draws a maximum of 5 kW so it can reduce your battery mileage in a hurry.
  20. What was the outside temperature? Battery efficiency drops as the temperature drops. The battery gets air from the cabin so that can warm it up after being cold soaked over night.
  21. ForIVTService is still here but they only handle In Vehicle Technology (IVT).
  22. I have no need for Value charge since my electricity costs the same 24/7. I have never tried it. Once in a while a trip segment will be missing from MFM since the new modem was installed. I opened a case about that but have not been notified of any resolution. I have a single repeating GO time that happens once a week that has been working fine. I also had the EV range problem but once it started working it has been fine.
  23. The 12 volt battery is vented underneath the car assuming the vent hose and the plug in the second vent are still intact.
