I did not have the popping sound but everything else sounds like a bad chip inside the radio/screen unit. mine would go blank intermittently, drove straight to the dealer the one time it happened so they can see it. but the car does register fault codes that they can read. Good luck

here in Pa. i get 35-47 range on my '19 FFE. When using hybrid mode on the highway, or anywhere else for that matter, I always switch to EV when the opportunity to recharge comes up. Getting to stop light, downhill/decline on the highway etc... this way i bank all those recharge miles into the EV portion. the 2019 FFE does max out its range display at 47, though I know I have gone past that, My '14 and '17 models displayed up to 52 MPeG.

Platinum model listed as a Titanium with Ins. Co. and Carfax
gerdia replied to cortezer's topic in 2017-2018 Fusion Energi
yes, my 2017 is also listed as Titanium with the insurance company. I will further look into this and see if I come up with similar answers as you. thanks for posting this. Gerry -
Is a 240 charging station worth the cost?
gerdia replied to Michelle's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
That's really up to you and what your usage will be. It was definitely worth it for me. It will charge in 2hr from a fully depleted battery. It's also cheaper to charge with a 240v line. Your always have a fully charged car if using a 240 line. Good luck in your decision. -
the 10% city might get your mpg into the mid 40's, local weekend driving will also help. I guess the short answer would be in the deal you get, I would not trade right now unless it was a deal that was hard or close to hard to refuse. good luck in your decision.

mine had a sticker of 46k when I bought it back in March, the dealer web site had it for 42K and it drove the salesman nuts for a bit when i brought up the discrepancy. He finally got the answer which was Ford's price reduction. Mine is a '14 that had been in the lot prior to November and no body bothered to changer the sticker, which is probably why other buyers walked right by it and left it for the ones listed for 42K. I too would have left it if they were dead set on the sticker price, but i knew their web site had it listed for the correct and lower price. Dealers can play dumb sometimes, I'm sure they would have taken my 46K had I decide to blindly pay it.

Difference in displayed MPG from DIC and MFM
gerdia replied to EnergiCCAATS's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
the car displays the mpg for that particular trip, the mfm app shows the avg mpg. or at least that is how I understand it. -
Guys, if any of you have a sign shop around you, you can have then have them make you a vinyl stick on. easy on and off without damage to the paint.

Top 2 reasons why City MPG is better than Highway MPG?
gerdia replied to vett93's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
Another reason as to why is the fact that in the highway the gas engine is required for more power. In the city, the engine gets to turn off more often and the lower speeds allow the electric motor to run more by itself. Shut off at lights a day heavy traffic. -
Variability in # of miles a full charge produces?
gerdia replied to ENERGIZD's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
are you using the same key fob? so many things can affect the mileage, small things you might not even notice. Defroster will kill it, heated seats, and any accessory usage will decrease it no matter how small it may seem to you. to receive a range of 26 is very good, I only see it after consecutive days of just EV use. -
Good or Bad Lease Offer (Energi Titanium 2014)
gerdia replied to Frank Kotarski's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
Frank, Have them show you the x-plan price, I'm assuming this is a lease since the term is 24 months? If so, there is also a $5007 incentive on a lease. I just leased the titanium, sticker price was 42,300 and got it for 34,393 with the x-plan and incentive, paying 338 for 36mn. So i would say you can do a bit better, if the incentive is not there. Gerry -
hi Awhelm, To buy or lease is really a personal preference, if you lease you will get the $5007 tax credit up front like a rebate and if you finance, you'll have to wait until tax season next year. I would go for, and did, the '14, newer is always better. this is one awesome car and you do get an 8 year warranty on the hybrid system that should cover any problems that may arise. you can also buy the extended warranty if that will be a comfort to you. I also want to add that a level 2 ( 220V) charger is a must, My energi charges in 2 hours and I'm currently at 1100 miles with the original tank of gas, getting 97.8 mpg. Good luck in your decision and let us know what you went with. Also, see if you can purchase the car using Ford's x-plan through either your job or someone in the family. it can be about 3K off.

mine is the same way, its probably like that for more air flow (maybe?) I have been thinking of putting something on the top shelf to block anything from falling but not restrict any air flow, i.e. a net or a half wall of some sort.

Homemade Charger - Talk me out of it
gerdia replied to Mike Antonoff's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
if I may politely add my 2 cents here, If you went ahead a purchased a beautiful 42K car, why would you skimp on a $500 charger? why risk damaging the car? I purchased the turbo cord and it charges my '14 FFE in 2hrs 4min. Good luck in whatever you decide. -
While i can appreciate those who play the EV game, I for one, didn't buy a $42k car to be uncomfortable. I try to get the best mileage within a certain comfort zone, heat is not blasting all ride long but I'm not freezing, I get enough of that when I get out of the car. FWIW, in getting around 85 mpg combined.
