Yep, same issue mine had (along with some very annoying rattles) but both were resolved eventually.

Pretty sure there is a TSB for it...I have a 2014 Titanium, and mine came on at 500 miles. Sitting on 6000 miles now and no issues since.

Any lessees get their checks yet?

2013s must be shipping first? I leased a 2014 in February and haven't got my FedEx delivery manager notification yet.

What are the best features one may not know about?
blars replied to Andrew Stein's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
There's a pretty extensive thread on some of these lesser known features here in the forums: http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/699-lesser-known-features-and-functions/ -
I get no wind noise from the sunroof, shade open or closed, high speeds or low speeds. Sounds like an issue with the seal to me.

Fusion Energi EV Battery Range
blars replied to law@magproducts.com's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
While the heater does use quick a bit of energy, mileage is still less regardless of the heater in the winter. I bought mine in February, and tried my best to go without heat on my 10 mile trip to and from work. Even on days not using the heat in sub-freezing temperatures, I got significantly less range than I have been getting in spring and summer (~5 miles less). -
Hmm...mine will show the reduction in range when i first start the A/C...but once I follow the steps for the vent only function, my range estimate is restored to what it was before I started the process. It's how I know I did it correctly.

rebate seniors taxes Rebate Problems for Some Owners
blars replied to Greg Miller's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
This tax credit is a non-refundable tax credit, which means that you are not eligible for reimbursement beyond your tax liability. It's just the nature of this particular tax credit. More power to you if you want to fight it, however, I think you're going to have one hell of an uphill battle as it's described pretty plainly on the IRS's website: http://www.irs.gov/publications/p17/ch37.html#en_US_2013_publink1000174905 -
I have a 2014 and use the Eco cruise all the time...its the "cheater" way to get back up to speed without having to worry about losing accel points. Not sure if you can turn that mode on and off...I always thought that having cc rev up to get back up to speed was kind of stupid.

That must be what it is then...I've had no problem with it outside of those two instances. Usually it just sounds like I'm sitting in a car that's turned off. It's definitely a startling sound.

Did it kind of sound like the windshield was rattling? I've noticed twice now where I've had pickups with loud exhaust be next to me that seemed to make the windshield buzz or rattle (at least I assumed it was the windshield). I had assumed it had hit some resonant frequency. Does it sound like the same thing that's happening to you?

I leased one back in Feb. I overestimated I ovet estimated my mileage to the next tier simply to not have to deal with overages...they are very expensive. You don't really pay for the milage, just the difference in depreciation that more miles is responsible for. As for maintenance, they can ding you for door dings, uneven tire wear, and gouged rims, so I bought the coverage plan for that that comes with free unlimited dent repair, free rim and tire replacement, and free oils changes. They recommend rotating the tires every 5k miles, so I'll get the oils changed and tires rotated every 5k.that extra coverage was an extra 20-25 a month, but worth it to me for the peace of mind. The bumper to bumper is done when its done...has nothing to do with you're lease length. Also, be careful if you put any money down. Better to put no money down and apply it yourself to your monthly payments...if you're in an accident that totals the car, insurance will pay for the replacement, but you're out any money you put down.

If the trigger event is the excessive force itself, how does it record 15 seconds prior? It must be always recording and just storing from the buffer when the event is captured? Also, why only 15 seconds? I could see a larger window being beneficial in those circumstances.

2013 Titanium sitting on lot for months

Pretty sure rexracer was including the rebates in the discount off msrp. No way you'd get under 30k before the tax credit. -
2013 Titanium sitting on lot for months

The $4007 was listed as a "dealer incentive" on my lease paperwork, if I remember correctly. The first dealership I went to said that I could claim the tax credit on my return next year, in addition to that "dealer incentive". That is not the case. -
They're set up through the car.

Uncle Google is correct, it has not been renewed (I've heard/read rumblings that it may be renewed later, but so far, no-go).
-
Russael and jeff_h are correct. In any case, I got the $4k taken directly off my capitalized lease amount (which is nice for those who would not have a tax liability of $4k), so the credit does not apply for me.

Now that the weather has been warming up here, I've been able to make my commute on all battery as well. My normal commute is about 26 miles total, and if I keep it 45 or under, I can usually make it home without the ICE coming on.

Is this a good deal for a 14 FFE SE?

Charge Cord Removal While Charging
blars replied to Bills_Fusion_Energi's topic in Batteries & Charging
I would assume there is nothing in the manual about it because its a non-issue. It's a function that's used daily on these vehicles, so if there were a "certain way" to unplug the vehicle, I'm sure we'd be made aware of it. You don't have to do any dance to unplug any other type of consumer electronic device to prevent arcing, what would make the vehicle any different? -
Agreed. Honestly I wasn't set on getting navigation with a new vehicle, just because my wife has it in hers and it's $300 to get new maps for it, and my phone has better navigation software and up-to-date maps ABSOLUTELY FREE. No excuse to have ~2 year old maps on a brand new car.

Sounds like you have it in auto instead of EV Now.
