  1. Larryh, yes preconditioning is another reason for L2. With L1 preconditioning sucks big time.

  3. I understand 240v charging makes for a much quicker charge. I am currently on the fence on installing L2 charging at home. Clipper creek recently lowered the price of the LCS-25 to $495.00 http://www.clippercreek.com/store/product/charging-station-lcs-25-level-2/ I'd love to be able to charge up my Energi in 2 hrs but I still cannot justify the cost when I am currently charging during the night at 120v without the added expense. I am on the fence. If I installed L2 charging there is a possibility I could take my L1 charger to work and charge during the day. Any advice from the forum?
  4. I took wife to dinner last night in the Energi ... it was cold and after dinner I was going to remote start the car and pre-warm the cabin for her. Well the plan and the technology failed. Unable to communicate with car. After 10 attempts I gave up. I am very disappointed in Ford.
  5. To the Ford folks monitoring the forum. I know that MFM not working doesn't prevent me from using my car, but I am really getting ticked off now with the constant down state of the MFM system. MFM is down again today 3/1/2014 When will there be a final fix for the problems with MFM?

  7. You have a choice ... and the choice is ... don't purchase and drive the car ... I am a big proponent of liberty and choice too ... I chose to purchase the car knowing well in advance it's capabilities of tracking and recording data.

  10. I called Ford In-Vehicle Tech support and they told me there was a server crash. No ETA on the fix. The gentleman from Ford just said keep trying.
  11. Seems that MFM site is down or having tech issues. I am really disappointed in this technology from Ford.

  14. I was not notified last night when charging was completed either. It was working. I will wait and see what happens tonight.
  15. mmmhmmmm thanks for the tips. I am up to 70 mpg now. My commute is 14 miles one way. Now that the weather has moderated, I am not using climate control at all in the AM on the way to work, except to defrost if needed. No reply yet to my request at work for a L2 charging station. Our company HQ has them and the company supports green initiatives all the time. I am trying to guilt them into putting them in at my location.
  16. Occasionally when I click the update button on MFM (website and mobile app - IPhone) I get a message where the app cannot connect to the car and to try later. I have noticed that if I unlock the car doors with the key fob or get in the car and turn the key, I can immediately access MFM and perform an update successfully. Seems like something in the car is "going to sleep". The process of unlocking the car with the FOB or inserting the key into the ignition and turning it "wakes up" the component needed to communicate with MFM.
  17. Hello Ford Representative. I am a loyal Ford owner. The last 3 cars I have purchased have been Fords. We all understand there will always be issues and problems. But what really ticks off consumers is when the company ignores the owners when they have issues. See the message from 'Bills_Fusion_Energi". With that said how about an answer to the topic/issue in this thread?
  18. Steve That's a bummer. But at least I can see what the text was and respond appropriately. I hope that gets fixed and Apple and Ford get together to make all the MFT features work like they should.
  19. Steve It only works one way ... I can receive texts but it failes on trying to use the standard replies to a text message
  20. Steve Thanks. I will try this today. I have been trying to get my IPhone 4S to work with texting and MFT with no results.

  22. MyFord Mobile ... Under key personalization and key usage log it say "data not available" Is anyone getting this to work?
  23. New Fusion Energi SE / 707 miles ... So far I am disappointed with avg MPG and range. I am getting high 90's avg on regen and driver scores of 90. I have to admit most of the driving has been highway - long trips. My commute to work is 15 miles and I am pressuring my company to install L2 charging. My commute should be all EV mode. Any advice on how to get my range longer and higher MPG? Do I need to expect lower numbers during thr break in period?
