Csewellpxl - no connection under the existing sill plates. I had to run wires to the overhead console.

Automatic System Updates....Scanning for Updates
dnorris78 replied to Davidoo's topic in Audio, Navigation & SYNC
I called Ford Technology. I was told that the "engineers" have turned off the update server and it will be turned on for an update scheduled to be released this summer. -
yes I enabled the new skill yesterday ... it works great ... no issue

I had a fun experience tonight <sarcasm>. Got in the car to go eat dinner and the car would not start up. Pushed the button and nothing but flashing lights. Red battery warning light appeared on dash. Even the head lights would not auto off. I eventually pulled the disconnect on the HVB and the ground on the 12v. I waited a few minutes and hooked everything back up. The car then started. I have a check engine light now but it drives. Going to the dealer tomorrow.

Ok my wife got me the illuminated sill plates for my 2017 FFE Titanium as a Christmas gift. The instructions included are for a 2008 Fusion (way to go Ford). I have watched the available videos for installation to the center console along the roof but I have read other places where starting in 2016 there is a place near the existing sill plates to wire up to. Anybody know anything?

Charges from 110v @ home but not 220V @ Chargepoint
dnorris78 replied to psu86's topic in Batteries & Charging
Check default charge profile. Make sure it is set to charge now -
Found the problem. I was looking to make sure that the clock in the car was correct and went to go times in Sync 3. There is a "Disable/Enable" setting for Go Times. Pics attached
-
Yes. Go time is set for when I want to leave.

I have a new 2017 FFE Titanium. This replaced a 2013 FFE SE model that was totaled. In my 2013 FFE the Go Times and preconditioning was problematic. On cold winter days the go times would be set at 85 but the cabin never reached that temp or even close. Now in my 2017 model the same issue exists. Using Go Times is pointless since I am not getting the cabin to warm at all hardly. Oh and the car is plugged into a Level 2 charger at home. Does anybody have an suggestions? On a cold morning I can remote start the car and it warms the cabin fine but it also eats up battery.

2017 Ford Fusion "available pothole detection"
dnorris78 replied to ClaveMan's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
I just purchased a new 2017 Fusion Energi Titanium. I did not know this feature existed but I swear it seems this car takes pot holes differently than my 13 FFE. I will have to dig out my sticker and look. -
I couldn't reach the fuse box to pull fuse 10. I pulled the negative terminal from the 12v batter, waited a couple minutes and hooked it back up. MFM is now working. This doesn't really make me happy on a 2017 car I just purchased.

The last response from MFM was last night when my car was fully charged. No notifications or updates today. MFM just times out. Anybody else?

VW owner looking for sweet spot for used Fusion Energi
dnorris78 replied to jlh1960's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
I had a 2013 FFE SE which was totaled recently. I really liked that car. I purchased a new 2017 FFE Titanium and absolutely love it. Sync 3 is much better than the original Sync the look and drive-ability of the car is much better in my opinion. The headlights are now LED and they are awesome along with the new built in DRL's. The sticker price on the 2017 FFE Titanium was much less than the sticker on my 2013 FFE SE. -
I read somewhere that starting 2016 the power connector is located underneath the existing sill plates and installation is much easier.

From what I read the Alexa skill will allow voice control functionality similar to My Ford Mobile. I.e. Start, stop, lock doors and vehicle status. I have an Amazon Echo and 2 Dots in my home and a great deal of home automation already setup. It would be nice to issue a voice command to pre-condition my FFE cabin.
-
Does anyone know anything about the Amazon Alexa skill for the FFE that is supposed to be released by the end of 2016?
-
Does anyone have experience or installed the Illuminated sill plates? I have a new 2017 FFE Titanium and I am interested in these.

My Ford Mobile - Incorrect car image and color
dnorris78 replied to dnorris78's topic in My Ford Mobile
Yes the 2nd confirmation occurred successfully. Still have the fuzzy C-Max car icon and the color section is missing on the MFM Website and app both. -
My Ford Mobile - Incorrect car image and color
dnorris78 replied to dnorris78's topic in My Ford Mobile
VIN is entered correctly. I can use the mobile app fine to remote start the car. The default C-MAX fuzzy image is still there and I cannot change the color. That option is entirely missing. If Ford is monitoring ... you have a "not so happy" customer, after spending as much as I did on a new 2017 model. -
My Ford Mobile - Incorrect car image and color
dnorris78 replied to dnorris78's topic in My Ford Mobile
I deleted the vehicle and added back. The color selection area is missing. -
After my 2013 FFE SE was totaled I purchased a new 2017 FFE Titanium. I added to My Ford Mobile. The functions work well and quicker than the old 2013 car. However the car image is a fuzzy pic of a C-Max and the wrong color. There is no place to change the car color, either in the app or on the website. Also I cannot change the name of the car. I misspelled a name and want to correct it. Does anyone else have this issue? I have a case in the with the MFM support line but they have not responded.

Cara thanks for the information. The only thing I currently see in Ford Pass is fuel level and mileage. I don't see oil life or any other system status.

Fusion Energi - Rear End Collision / HV Battery Damage?
dnorris78 replied to dnorris78's topic in Batteries & Charging
Yes Raja I took the pic at a Subway when I was eating lunch. That is what happened to me as well. I had a loan on the car. GEICO is paying part and my GAP policy is paying the remaining part. Luckily I had GAP coverage, which I highly recommend on new cars that are financed. Just a bit of information: I purchased a new 2017 Energi Titanium and the sticker on it was less than my original 2013 Fusion Energi SE. My payments are actually lower. -
yes .... Sync 3 doesn't recognize the command. From what I am learning you have to use "Ford Pass" and your device connected to the car to retrieve any vehicle health alerts.
