  1. I went with a Ultracapacitor based unit (Rezervo RZ-300mini), that I really like - and has been rock solid so far. Fits nicely in the glovebox. You really don't need alot of juice to close the relays to the main battery. I had a Schumacher battery based unit before, but it didn't like the heat out here in AZ. I have a Schumachers 800-amp ultracap (DSR109) unit in my truck. I've used both units once, and each time they saved me from calling AAA.
  2. I carry a Rezervo RZ-300mini in the glove box. Ultra-capacitor based, so don't have to worry about charging or maintaining it, but I usually test it every 2-3 months. Works like a champ. In my 2014 there is a direct feed under the hood that I've used to used to jump start with.
  3. Per the dealer, the ESP coverage resulted in zero out-of-pocket for me. But I'm pretty sure, after reading the TSB, that it covered the complete cost of replacing the transmission. Took almost two weeks, as the TSB required authorization from Ford, but at least they updated the all of the modules for me. After replacement, car went back to being almost completely silent during EV use.
  4. I just had to replace the transmission in my 2014 and I'm just over 40k. Luckily, it was covered by the power-train warranty AND the ESP, since the factory warranty is up. I had the "whine/grinding/vibration" noise on the drivers side, and the noise was noticeable between 45-55 Mph. Excessively so on deceleration.
  5. I haven't seen the TSB for the transmission, but I'll ask the dealership when I pick it up this week. I just had to replace the transmission in my 2014,I'm just over 40k. 6. I have a 2014 Fusion Energi Ti. Purchased new, off the lot, in 2014. Just lost the bottom right (3rd) quadrant. I'm currently at 34k, so the ring is being replaced under the original 3y/36k warranty. I wonder if the ESP plan will cover future charge ring failures.
