  1. OK, so there isn't a visual camera image, like with the rear, but there is a visual image on the left gauge which indicates that it is a front sensor going off. I wonder if the sensors in the accessories.ford.com package show that as well. when installed, I wonder if they tie in to the same existing system and act in a similar way? I have to admit, for parking going forward, my wife's Lexus has a great system, A car image appears on the big screen to the right, and anything close sets off a beep and a 3 bar yellow light, which goes to 2, 1 then a red bar when it is very close. Easy to see, and easier to park. But my back-up system, with the curving lines showing where you are going, is better, so everything is a trade-off.
  2. Sorry, I wasn't clear. If the park assist had been installed, I assume that the system would have some sort of a visual indicator in the energi screens showing what quadrant was too close. Is this system similar to that? I am really not interested in the park assist system, but would like the front sensor capability. Does it require a software update?
  3. Does it hook in to the fusion screen, or is it just an audible?
  4. I could return it, but not exchange, since there are no titanium energi cars currently available anywhere my area with the Park Assist.
  5. I just bought a new 2013 Ford Fusion Energi Titanium, found a lot of things I love about the vehicle, but a couple I don't care for. Bought what I thought was the top of the line system, the only thing it didn't have was active park assist. none of the dealers had a car with that feature, and I didn't think it was an issue. I do know how to park. noticed that as I pulled in to my garage, there was no front sensor alarm to warn of things too close to the nose. Come to find out, if you don't have the park assist package, you don't get front sensors. The old Ford Escape Hybrid I traded in had front sensors, but not this "top of the line" car. When I asked, I was told that the only way to get front sensors was to get the park assist package. Seems like what should be a basic requirement on the newest cars, sensors all around. I mean, my car has a sensor to warn me if I have anyone in my blind spot, a sensor/camera to tell me if I am too close to the car in front of me while on cruise, or if I am drifting out of my lane, but no front parking sensors?

  7. So Go times don't increase distance by warming engine? Bummer. Seems odd that it wouldn't use that opportunity to warm the batteries a bit. I am sure this next question is in the manual, haven't got that far yet. To precondition, do you set the car to auto, to warm up the whole cabin, and then turn it off auto to maximize distance?
  8. Just bought the fusion energi, been a cold Utah January. I have a 8 mile round trip to work, one charge definitely gets me to work and back. The myFordMobile gauge on my phone has told me I have had as much as 20 miles to the charge, but when I get in the car, the gauge in the car itself has not been higher than 16 miles. when I first got the car, it said full charge was about 9 miles. I have been a cautious driver, left the heater off, (thank heavens for gloves and heated seats) watched the miles climb from about 9 for full charge to about 16, hoping the conditioning with a 230 v charger gets it into the 20's. I haven't preconditioned the battery with Go Times yet, waiting for the 220V charger I have on order. Been a low in the 20's or low 30's the last few weeks. Is it common for that much of a drop for unconditioned batteries in the cold? Second question, I have had the ICI kick on for a brief time a few mornings, I assume just to warm the engine/battery up. I figure that will go away if I start preconditioning?
  9. Thanks for all the feedback. Bought the LCS-25
  10. Found the $495 unit. The $514 includes the holster.
  11. Contradictory fact sheets. The one I was looking at was here http://www.clippercreek.com/store/product/charging-station-lcs-25-with-holster/ which shows it as a 20 Amp. But yours shows it as 25. And the HCS 40 is a 30 amp Did you get your LCS-25 for $495 recently? Did you get it from clipper directly? Site now shows $514, and then another $30 for shipping, even though it shows here as a $495. http://www.clippercreek.com/uploads/
  12. Bought a Fusion Energi, getting a Level 2 charger. Narrowed down to the Leviton EVB22-3PT , the Clipper Creek HCS-40 30 amp, the Clipper LCS-25 20 amp, and the EMW DIY unit. Decided to go with the Clipper 20 amp. Since the fusion can only pull 16, no reason to go with the higher amp clipper unit. Does anyone know of any reason to go with a higher amp unit for my current car? (sorry, bad pun) I know the justification that "If you get a car that takes higher amps later, you can use the unit for that" but that scenario won't be for another 6-8 years for me. A lot can change in that time. Also, anyone had any particularly good or bad feedback on the Clipper units? I was hoping to use the $50 off mentioned in another forum listing, but that offer has expired. You can go all the way through, get the email telling you that you have a discount code, but the link to use that code has expired, apparently. Anyone know of any existing discounts out there?
