Yes, I have been doing so every couple of weeks while the order was still in processing, but now that a build week and VIN has been set, I will be checking weekly. I'm very grateful for this service that Ashley is offering, as it helps me cope with the wait.

Almost two months later and I finally have my VIN :yahoo: You're just about spot on with building retail orders. Mine has been scheduled for the first week in August.

You'd have to read the fine print for each incentive. Some apply, some don't.

A-plan on my configuration (shown in forum signature) is $36,896.40. MSRP: $41,000

I like the no-haggle nature of x-plan. I'm getting my '15 at x-plan minus $500 grad discount, and minus any incentives Ford has at the time of delivery. I'm hoping the federal tax credit is still $4007 for this car, as Ford's build to order configurator is showing $3557 for a lease.

Yes, you should see it for yourself. When I did, it appeared to be more of a vibrant lipstick red than a darker brick red.

EV Mode / Remote Start & Consumption
wazer replied to wazer's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
Just checked with my kill-a-watt meter and the opener draws 4.5 amps while opening. I could take out the 60w bulb and get that down to 4 amps. It is a 15A receptacle, but I'm comfortable with that since the opener only runs for ~15 seconds. Now I just need to get my Energi! -
EV Mode / Remote Start & Consumption
wazer replied to wazer's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
My only option is to use the 120v charger in my apartment garage. The garage door opener is also plugged into the same outlet. I know the charger should be on its own circuit, but I have no choice. I tried charging it using the outlet on my test drive successfully, but I didn't try opening/closing the door during charging to see if both could be handled at the same time. Should I be concerned about tripping the breaker? There are about 12 garages with their own opener in this free standing structure. Maybe it was designed to handle the load from multiple openers being used at once. -
EV Mode / Remote Start & Consumption
wazer replied to wazer's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
Thanks for the info. And the 120v charger can't supply enough power for HVAC during remote start, correct? -
It appears that the Terracotta package is only available on gas and hybrid models, no Energi love.

2015 Fusion is now live on Ford's website. Nice to finally see some pictures of the new Hybrid/Energi Titanium wheels. It was worth my wait for them. They look great!

Please explain "Performance" Seats?
wazer replied to musicmafia's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
They're the same. One is just associated with cooled seats, while the other is not. -
Please explain "Performance" Seats?
wazer replied to musicmafia's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
They're actually different. I've noticed the SE Luxury seats are a bit softer, while the Titanium Sport seats are firmer and the sides of the seat hold you in better. Titanium seats are also perforated to accommodate the optional cooled seating. -
What about getting a lock? It prevents the button from being pressed on the charging coupler, therefore preventing removal from the vehicle. From the owners manual: Locking the Charging CouplerNote: You will need a padlock or acombination lock with a shackle diameterof 0.2 (5 mm) or less and the straightportion of the shackle of 1.0 (25.4 mm) oflength or more.1. Insert the lock through the hole in thecharging coupler button.2. Lock the padlock or combination lock.

The old style come standard as the only choice on the SE, while the new style come standard as the only choice on the Titanium. Ford started taking orders for 2015s in April. Production begins mid-July, so I expect to see mine sometime in August/September.

Everything else in this car can run off the HVB, except for MAX defrost, but that's understandable. I'll be very disappointed if the cooled seats can't. I just looked at the regular gas model's owners manual and the text is the same. So, I'm going to assume that was something that just got copied over for the Hybrid/Energi owner's manual and wasn't updated.

Voice Commands Blocked by Rear View Camera
wazer replied to murphy's topic in Audio, Navigation & SYNC
Possible solution: back into the garage when you get home so you can just put it in drive when you're leaving :shift: -
When a remote start is initiated, does it respect the EV mode that was last set when the vehicle was turned off? For instance, if it was in EV AUTO/NOW prior to shut down with available HVB charge, and remote start was initiated, would it only use HVB for climate power? and if EV Later was selected and there was still a HVB charge, would it maintain that level of charge and run the ICE? Or does one or the other always happen regardless of setting and/or HVB charge level? Does having it plugged in or not have any effect on the above? I'm also curious to know if the system is keeping track of electric/gas consumption during remote start. Is this reflected in the MPG/MPGe shown on the display once starting with the ignition?

2013 Fusion Energi Suffers from Sloppy Programming
wazer replied to murphy's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
That makes sense. The system is designed to get the cabin to the set temperature, so if it's cooler inside than the set temp, it will turn on the heater. -
Oh yeah, I forgot about the moonroof. I have considered those side window deflectors but I'm not a fan of the look and I'm sure they increase drag a bit.
-
Great info, thanks! I'm prepared to wait with patience. It will be worth it to have all the options I want.
-
I'm not able to charge at work, but I only have a five mile trip home. It'll be parked at my office in the hot summer sun all day. It could easily reach 150ºF inside. Are there any options other than leaving the windows open? I don't like to do this as rain showers like to pop up around here. I'd want to make it back without the engine coming on.

Hi everyone, I've been a lurker for about a year now. Graduated from college earlier this month and started work this week. Just got back from the dealer where I placed my order for a 2015 Fusion Energi Titanium. I'm excited for the new wheels! Production starts mid-July, so if I'm lucky, I'll see my new car by the end of August. I got Ingot Silver Metallic, black interior, cooled seats, moonroof, heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise, and the driver assist package. I'm a true geek so all this available tech is wonderful. Looking forward to chatting with all of you! -Alex

I've noticed the uneven tail light alignment on 2013s, but I haven't seen it on a 2014.
