No power and can't get into trunk

When you get the trunk open tie a little rope to the manual release so next time you can open the trunk w/ a dead battery -

I have been using a Juice Box for 20,000 plus miles for about two years with absolutely no issues. Also just did my first oil change . Getting around 90 mpge and 48 mpg gas only on long trips. Car has never seen a dealer since it left the showroom. -

Ford Engineers should have this in the Energis!
Steve smith replied to EnergiCCAATS's topic in Climate Control
FORD ARE YOU LISTENING ?? CCAATS is right on . we need this technology for safety and efficiency along with real LED headlight like the Focus.. Also need a EASY way to use VENT air without hitting three or four screen applications. -
Mowing the lawn must be good Karma. FedEx brought my $850 check for my 2014 FFE while mowing. nine months old, 9000 miles, nine ten gallon fill ups. MPGs stays in the 90's.Thanks Ford

220v Charger Options. Will this work?
Steve smith replied to Erick Recors's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
Love my juicebox.. 179 for the box ,149 for the 32Amp 25 ft cord and I used a old Dryer cord I had laying around. $328 plus tax for an up to 60 amp charger. It works great!! I knew about the no warranty, but theses folks are a small start-up company will stand by their products. -
I meant 40/60 60 being in the rear. how do we find out the true ratio ?

Maybe It's like me, hates multi-tasking.. -
I agree completely what you say Meyersnole and Eric as my Fusion Energi handles exactly and how I want it to. I ask because I would like to know which maneuver would be best in an emergency. (probably the Heimlich and then a through pants cleaning). I'm thinking turn into it as it feels the rear is dominate, but still curious (less than 60-40 ?) to what the distribution is. I bet the first aftermarket parts will address the 1990 Cadillac Deville feel ,but its just fine for my old arse.

Does anyone know what the weight distribution on a Energi is?? I cannot find it anywhere

re-read my post. I thought it was off a 2011 Fusion ,but not sure as the dismattler carried it in loose. I had to ream out the pattern from 4.5 to 4.25

Pic of spare tire
-
My quest for a temporary energy spare came to this. After several trip to my favorite parts wrecking yard my findings were ; 1. a 16 " temporary rim will not fit , it will hit the brake caliper. 2. the correct bolt pattern is 5 bolt on 4.25 center, aka 5 x 4.25 or 5 x 108mm 3. the size closest to our 225/50/17 tire is T155/70R17 (a bit smaller might work also) 4. I used a 6" piece of 2 x 6 and cut a 1/4" groove in it to fit on the body seam for a jacking pad. The spare I found for $40 bucks was a T155/70R17 on a 5 X 4.5 pattern off a 2011 wrecked Fusion. I used a rotary file on my cordless drill and filed and countersunk the holes in just slightly to match the 4.25 pattern, bought some open ended (stock are closed end and bottom out on the studs) 12mm X 1.5 pitch lug nuts and it fits and runs fine on my Energi. and it fits in the trunk hogging up a lot of scarce room. If one could find a 17" donut with a 5 X 4.25 pattern that would be perfect, but I could not find one. Good Luck

How happy are you with your Fusion Energi?
Steve smith replied to TCMALIBU's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
Did you post how you disconnected the Cabin Water Heater yet ?? Im curious. -
update.. A eCVT is unique. do a search for eCVT . It is a power split device transmission that uses one single planetary differential gearset. NO BELTS used.

I thought I read on the Energi data sheet it has a two speed CVT. Can anyone confirm or reject this ? I am going to set up the tachometer display to watch the RPM of the ICE when running both accelerating and decelerating.

My 2014 Fusion Energi only has 900 miles on it and what I faintly smell might be the battery case the cooling fan is blowing some heat off of. The front 12v vent is plugged fine and the rear vent tube is in place like it should be. The smell is similar to new electronics smell that goes away after a little use. The wife cant detect any odor other than that great new car smell.
