About willsyaya57

  1. Thanks for this. I was able to take this info to my dealer, and get my Energi charging again. Thanks, FFE forum!
  2. Congratulations! That's quite a statement that you filled up for the first time at 1300+ miles.
  3. I have a 2014 model, and I am at step 4 in the MFM registration-- waiting for the second confirmation message on the touch screen. And I was able to choose my vehicle color. Also, I had no problem with the system recognizing my VIN number when I entered it correctly--there was a zero that I initially entered as a capital o.
  4. I have posted photos of my trip in the gallery, album " Epic Birthday".

    Epic birthday adventure

I spent my birthday flying to the town where my new car was and driving it home. Old car: 2000 mustang convertible, blue with white top and white leather interior. New car: 2014 Fusion Energi Titamium, Deep Impact Blue with Charcoal leather interior.
  6. I had an epic birthday-- not in terms of nice round numbers, but by way of a grand adventure. I purchased my new 2014 FF Energi Titanium in Deep Impact Blue a week before my birthday. As it was 9 hours away, I was offered the choice of paying the dealership $1000 to have it delivered to me, or pick it up myself. I opted to pick it up myself. Why should I pay someone else to put the first 650 miles on my car, when I could do that and get to know the car at the same time? I flew from Little Rock, AR-- leaving my much loved Mustang tagless in the airport parking lot for the dealer to retrieve. I arrived in Cincinatti about 1:30, and took a taxi to the Alexandria, KY dealership- about 20 miles. Then, I drove the 650 miles home, all on my birthday. I was disappointed that I only got 38 mpg, but I am chalking that up to my novice driving. I used cruise control most of the way, going 72 on the freeways. Kentucky is hilly, but no more so than the Ozarks of Arkansas where I live. Will post pictures of the journey, as soon as I figure out how to do that. Thank you, forum members, for your support and advice as I went through the research and purchase process of this very fine vehicle.
  7. I have a power washer that I plan to use with the "delicate" or lowest pressure nozzle to keep mine clean. Of course that will be after we thaw out. Does anyone else use a power washer and have advice for me?
  8. New car owner. I usually keep my iPhone in WiFi only mode, saving cellular data for little emergencies on the road. Will I need to keep my cellular data on when I am in my new car to keep all the functionality of MyFordTouch, and Sync, and all that?
  9. Seriously, where would one find a dictionary of acronyms for Fusion owners?
  10. Ha, ha, ICE joke. Every punch line needs a set up. I'll let you know, shaggy314, next time I have a set up for you. :-) (Sitting on that side of the internet)
  11. My thanks to you all. I am happy to announce I am the proud new owner of a 2014 FFE Titanium in Deep Impact Blue. Photos to follow. LuAnn
  12. Yippee! I am the proud new owner of a 2014 FFE Titanium in Deep Impact Blue. It all turned out okay. The salesman felt terrible about his mistake. I suggested they make up for it by giving me a better offer on my trade in, and they did! I feel really great about the deal. MSRP was $40,225. After the tax rebate next year, the net cost of the car is $31,067 plus the cost of a one way airline ticket to pick it up just outside Cincinatti. I will do that next weekend, which will be my birthday. How perfect is that? Then I will have 900 miles or so to settle in and get to know my new ride. Of course, I will be driving, so I won't be able to refer to the owners manual. I am one happy woman!
  13. Right. I don't want to lease. It sure sounded like I was getting the $4007 twice. I even asked, "are you sure? That's some coincidence that both incentives are the exact same number".
  14. Oh, dear. I am at the dealership and they have located the FFE of my dreams. We got the price on a 2014 titanium with $3000 in extras down to $30,182 by agreeing to finance the minimum of $7500 (a $4007 rebate for that) and using the x-plan price (MCA, about $2000 discount for that), and planning on $4007 tax rebate next year. Started filling out paperwork. Turns out the discount for financing applies only if you lease. Crap, I feel like I've been sucker punched. I am now at lunch, told the salesman I needed to settle my stomach ( which I surely do! ) and walked out of the showroom. Advice anyone? Willsyaya57
