  1. On the drivers side front grill down right next to the fog light there is a little spring loaded door.
  2. My 2013 FFE came with the block heater factory installed. If I remember right the MN, WI, MI cars all got it. Anyways I use mine in the winter it's on a timer for 2am-5:30am. If you leave it on to long the car will kick out a false check engine code of some sort of overheat issue, I think ford has since offered a software fix to overcome this issue. It does warm the engine up enough for me to use heat for a few minutes without the battery electric heat coming on thus saving range. Also if I jump on the interstate 2 miles from the house the engine is warmed up reducing cold shock. I tested it with a watt meter it consumes about 350 watts. smokewagon
  3. I checked the wires in the trunk by the 12v battery, while i didn't see any chaffing or shorts it appeared the harness was pull from the plastic holding clip so I rearranged it. Also I put my reader on it but got no codes, I am going to borrow a better one and try. i'll let you know. thanks for the ideas. smokewagon
  4. all, Recently my 2013 energi has a problem, the HVB cooling fan in the trunk stays running until the 12v battery is dead. The only way to stop it is pull the fuse in the underhood box. The car is cold, not been driven, not plugged in. Some times the fan changes speeds form low to high. If I open the trunk it will stop for a few seconds then start running again. I pulled the 12v battery cable to reset and the issue went away for about a week but then returned. car has 65k miles and have not had a single problem with it, other than a couple recalls [airbag, seatbelt tensioner,] Any ideas?
  5. I just received emissions recall letter 14E02. Has anybody else received this? What do they actually do? smoke.
  6. After entering a route and it gives you the suggested routes, if you don't like the routes, How do you get it to propose other routes? Once on a route and you take a detour how do you get it to recalculate a new route? smoke
  7. Murphy, I knew somebody was going to say that! Got admit it was funny. lol :clapping: smoke
  8. Just got a letter from Ford it's about the recall for air bag control module. It states if you have a warning light on go in for service immediately and if not wait for further notice until more replacement components are in stock. Failure due to corrosion, hot and humid areas of the country only. Anybody else get this notice? smoke
  9. yes I would do option 2 also. But I did put in non ethanol. I have gone 11 months without going to that weird place where people stand outside their cars holding that funny looking hose. I call it the "heritage store" What's heritage daddy? Something grandpa started and didn't work. smoke,
  10. Yes I can agree the 120v charger and EBH should not be on the same circuit. [click ] I am still working on my D.P.E. smoke
  11. I have 2 segments that don't light up, quarter and full. smoke
  12. Different psi is to account for road slope. You are always turning left. smoke
  13. My speeds vary from 35 mph to 50 mph. I have gotten 30 mi on EV before, with temps in the 80s. I always use eco cruise. I bump it down 2 clicks going up hill and bump it up 2 clicks going downhill. I use climate "vent" most of the time. But you got to have clean glass. pita Tire pressures: left 39 psi, right 40 psi. The car is usually warm when leaving the house. I have an attached garage with a south facing door and the sun warms up the slab all day. I do use the EBH in the winter, set on a timer for 2.5 hours just before departure. [ off peak rate 5.3 cents ] I just started using the "L" selection on the shifter, it works good in a parking lot with 8 speed bumps. smoke,
