  1. Yeah I don't see a carrot-- or a stick for that matter, either.
  2. A bit off topic, but shouldn't plugging in charge the hybrid battery, as well? I'll get my 20 or so miles out of the EV battery, than it switches to hybrid mode. At that point the indicator shows about 1/2 to 2/3'rds full as the car switches into hybrid mode. Where does that hybrid battery power go?
  3. Lucky you. I've been in 'stasis' for days with the same problem. I suppose I'll have to pick up the phone.
  4. Well the deal went down without a hitch. Invoice minus $3500. The $750 coupon expired end of last month. But I'm a happy camper. "Sexy", "reminds me of my BMW", and "I like the Aston Martin front end" , as well as "This is way more luxurious than my car" are the compliments I received first day on my Energi. This is one advanced puppy. It'll take me some days to get totally used to every one of the many splendid knick knacks.
  5. Hey Tex NRG, not according to this article where they specify 36 months or greater. http://www.mychevroletvolt.com/chevrolet-volt-tax-incentives-and-rebates
  6. Yes I was just confirmed that by my dealer. And they will not reduce by the $1500 California EV tax credit. I'll just claim that one on my 2013 taxes.
  7. Wow. What do you mean by $1000 lease conquest offer? I'm picking my car up and signing paperwork tomorrow am. I could stand to find another $1000.
  8. I'm leasing. Current deal is; based on invoice minus the $3750 fed rebate off the top, minus the $750 coupon. All good.
  9. There is a white platinum Ti NRG at Airport Marina Ford. Theres a CMAX energi as well.
  10. But if this were true, which I hope it isn't, there would not be an option for 19's on the Titanium non-hybrid, no? Suspension/braking system are the same between the non-hybrid and NRG? Or is it a weight thing?
  11. It'll be a tight fit for skis inside the ski bag(safest and most comfortable for the rear passenger)-- only if you can squeeze the skis on one side of the fold down seats or the other.

The dealer did let me see if I could fit my 9' surfboard into a FFH. It fits, but it's tight. So with the NRG I'll be looking to find a roof surfboard rack and a tow hitch for the bike rack, most definitely.
  13. Yeah I saw this one in Santa Monica yesterday. The time has arrived! There was a grey and black NRG Ti. Both sold.

  15. I'll probably put around 4k down. Between 350-400 is what I expect to pay. It is a bummer that it will be so much more compared to the Volt.
  16. It was thru the Costco Auto program that I filled out. The guy reached out thru email and I gave him my price, and he agreed. I don't believe that you can contact the dealer directly and get that deal.
  17. I'm going to lease. I plan on jumping into something else(Tesla X?) after 2 or 3 years.
  18. I'll only take mud flaps if they throw in fuzzy dice and and a pair of bull balls. Oh didn't you hear they can't fit a gun rack in one, either.
  19. They don't offer 19's on the NRG(Energi)-- but I will forgo the extra couple of miles of electric range and mpg for the aggro look of the 19". They can swap out the 17's from another car on their lot, or I'll just go aftermarket. Besides, I'll be able to plug-in at my job sites. Hopefully they'll be able to eventually adjust the software to recalculate for the different circumference.
  20. Just received an email from an 'internet guy' at a West L.A.(ish) Ford dealer. He agreed to my offer(at this point) for $300 over invoice for putting in my Energi order. I go in on Friday, and plan to order up a tuxedo black Titanium NRG with all bells and whistles, maybe some 19" rims too. I'm pretty stoked about his quick, easy 'yes' about the price. Let's see if it holds. Now if I can find a decent aftermarket tip for that butt ugly single exhaust pipe.
  21. I just received my $750 Ford product rebate in the mail after about a 2 week wait.
  22. It makes sense to warranty the battery longer for us in California-- it's better for us lowly consumers, and Cali standards probably make the standards better for you even way out there in Arizona, which is one of the main points. Just like our stringent air standards drag less and less pollution east of L.A. towards Tucson. And you should be happy, for most probably, your better battery. I heard it's nice down there in Tucson, but at least the university is good. ;-)
  23. Yeah those 19's are what I want for my Energi. In the FFH forum they do suggest that the larger wheels are what is throwing a lot of the actual mpg out of whack. As long as I get 15 miles of electric only, I'm fine with it. I'll go aftermarket or have the dealer swap the rims, if I can.
