Update: So they installed the incorrect modem in my car TWICE! In December and then again in March. When Ford service finally "listened" to me, they ordered the correct modem. They put the old version (NE...) of the modem in my car twice which is really pathetic. As mentioned by other posters the ESM should begin with a "T". MFM is now working perfectly in my 2013.
-
Russael, what are you showing for your CPPM ESN #?
-
My "new" modem is showing CPPM ESN # NE002MDF From what I read, the modem # is supposed to start with a "T". Was an old modem installed in my vehicle, or was the reprogramming not run? No luck getting the 1st confirmation sent to my car after removing/adding back into the MFM. Steve

I don't think my modem works at all, although when it was first installed it seemed to be able to "remote start" the vehicle. That was prior to the 2G decommissioning. Yesterday, I removed the vehicle from MFM and pulled the #10 fuse. When I added the car back into MFM, the car never received the "initial message", so it leads me to believe the modem is inop. Steve

Thanks, so the programming instructions weren't in the FSA?

I had my modem replaced in December. It seems that my remote start, unlock/lock does not work using the MyFordMobile app, or website. It is updating the vehicle location and range. When I attempt to unlock/lock/remote start from the App I receive an error message stating "Contact your authorized dealer (FSA 15N04)". Well that was performed in December. Any assistance is appreciated, short of taking the car to the dealership, again. Steve

Any updates on this issue? I had my modem replace according FSA 15N04, and now I the app cannot remote start, unlock/lock doors, etc... All it does is update the range and battery status. I get messages such as "lock failed", and then "contact dealer FSA 15N04".

Here's an update: They performed TSB 15-0028 and replaced the TCU module, and protected the harness. The battery tested good, so I'm still on my 3rd battery with 24k miles. I hope this is the last time I have the 12-volt battery issue and this issue is fixed once and for all. On a side note, they finally performed the door latch recall (15S16). Steve

If I'm sitting in the car, it's always running, so I don't think it's depleting because of the radio. I wonder if the "blue tooth" to my phone is not disconnecting after the car shuts down? I can't think of anything else that would be possibly be draining that battery when the car is off. Or I have the "short" in the trunk that a few people have experienced.
-
Thanks. I have the home 220 charger and use that each night. My car only has 23k miles on it. Obviously something is depleting the battery, or the battery just doesn't get charged at the end of the cycle. I seriously doubt it's a defective battery. We'll see what Ford has to say on Thursday.

Before my battery died last year, I received a few "low battery warnings" just prior to it dying. When my replacement battery died yesterday, I didn't receive the "low battery" warning until I recharged the 12-volt with a battery charger. They didn't find any drains on the battery after last year's service appointment for the dead battery, although now I'm not confident that they did a thorough job as my replacement battery died nearly 1 year later. January 9th 2015 and now January 18th 2016. Now that's a crazy coincidence. I feel it has something to do with maybe the colder weather.

HardP, it's probably to late but it means you're about to lose your 12-volt battery. The same thing happened to me last year, and then the 12-volt died a day, or two later. I'm on my 2nd 12-volt battery and about it be on my 3rd, because my 12-volt died on Monday, the January 18th. Almost a year after the battery was replaced. Steve

Hi, all. Well my 12-volt battery died for the 2nd time. Last year, I posted as to my battery dying and now nearly 1-year later to the date, this "new" battery has died. I have an appointment once again with my Ford dealer for Thursday. I was able to "jump start" my car and then when I got home I was able to "charge" my battery using a battery charger. After the battery was charged, I received an email saying my 12-volt battery is "low". A little too late! Last year, Ford was unable to determine a cause after keeping the car for 3 days. They just replaced the battery. Now keep in mind, this is the 2nd battery I had in the car, when I first purchased the car, the battery was dead and they needed to replace it immediately. I have been able to determine when the battery will "die". Essentially, when I place the car in "reverse" and the backup cameras are engaged, the "warning" beeps have a different sound than "normal". It's more of a "beeping" sound from a PC when there aren't speakers plugged in. It's a more "primitive" beep. Is this related to "go" times? Yesterday was a holiday and the "go" time was still set, so the car warmed but I never left the house. Did something stay "engaged" and drained down the 12-volt. For some reason, I just don't think the 12-volt is charging after the "main battery" charge each night. Maybe a flaw in the system? I really enjoy driving this car, however the vehicle MUST be dependable. To not have a reliable car is just unacceptable, and replacing a 12-volt battery each year is also totally unacceptable. Steve

Ford adds Siri Eyes Free with software update
SteveEnergi replied to Blastphemy's topic in Audio, Navigation & SYNC
As Murphy suggested, I downloaded the software from the Hybrid site and it successfully installed. The only issue was it didn't write the xml file to my usb, so the update didn't report to the Ford site. I had to download and run the "software validation tool" for the xml file to be generated. I then manually reported the update to the Ford site by uploading the xml file to the Ford site. My account is accurate and current. Thanks for your help.
