Welcome in, I just got here myself and have found many folks willing to share wisdom on this great car. Just in case you have never used a forum before Search is a useful tool. I have found many a question answered in detail throughout the Forum. Again Welcome Father Bill

Well, I took Stig into Ford and they said, " um, we can't help you, take it to the body shop we use". I did so and they quoted me $550 to get Stig back to factory fresh. I am never ever going to park on that street ever again! And they can't get to it until November 11. That means I will have reduced aerodynamic fluidness for the next 2 week. Oh well. Peace, Fr. Bill

Yeah quick yellows and panic stops drive me just a little wacky. If at all possible I try to start braking a quarter mile from the Stop sign or light. This gives me slow consistent recharge with a good chance at 100%. It is an art to get the max regen, I am still working towards that art. Peace, Father Bill

Is anybody else noticing that MFM seems to be down. I have been trying to login since 11AM CST and it says down for scheduled maintenance. Just curious. Peace, Father Bill

I was parking my Energi today and slowly ran into a raised curb(ARGH :rant2:) It did not seem to ding the mechanics of the bumper, although I have to check a panel gap to see if it is out of line. I did however scratch a couple of dings into the bumper. Is the bumper painted or is it a solid color. It was raining so it may just be wet but after I wiped away the extruded plastic from the scratches it seems that there is still the grey color of the rest of the bumper. The car is only one week old and I hate the idea of taking it to a body shop already but if the bumper is one solid color I think I will be able to handle it. If there is any white showing though I will almost certainly have to do something about it. I will definitely not park in that area ever again! :banghead: Peace, Father Bill

Here is a thread from another board I keep tabs with that might be able to help you. http://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/1171-info-for-changing-wallpaper-and-share/ Peace, Father Bill

Here is my latest mileage estimate Driving conditions as follows temp mid 50's Rainy I am incredibly pleased with the range I can squeeze out of the EV mode. It seems like the weather so far has not adversely effected the range. Peace, Father Bill

I actually got close to 32 miles on the last charge, go figure. I guess driving like and octogenarian has it advantages ;) !

When I charge at work on a 240V system it takes just under 2 hours (about 1h50m) to fully charge a depleted battery.

I may have discovered something. Apparently there is a delay after pushing the button to the time I stops charging. I have hit the button and then immediately removed the charger. Tonight while getting ready to update sync I hit the button and waited for a couple of seconds. The charge port LED's went dark, then I unplugged. I have not gotten an accidental unplug message from MFM so I think I now know what to do YAY :victory:

I like getting the Charging complete messages. My main concern was if I was doing something wrong when I unplugged. It sounds like I am doing things the right way. Thanks for the feedback! Peace, Father Bill

I had a feeling that was the case. The types of trips I am missing are: 1) moving the car to a parking space after charging 2) going a short jaunt from one store to another about a mile away. Thanks for confirming the threshold.

I have noticed that MFM is very good about reporting my longer trips 10 miles or more. But when I take a short trip in between the longer ones MFM does not recognize them. Is anyone else finding this behavior? :sos:

I have gotten an accidental unplug message from MFM a number of times when I have unplugged the car to use it. I push the button and then remove the plug. Should I be doing something differently to avoid the accidental unplug message? Peace, Father Bill

Here is my personal best showing at the end of a charge. Not sure if I will get that much but I will get pretty close. Peace, Father Bill

I have been lucky in that the 2 places I normally go I have been able to find free charging. I did go ahead and sign up for chargepoint but I have no clue what the cost is per Kwh. One of the free stations is a chargepoint so I will need the card anyway.

Haven't seen any myself yet, but I am looking. I am always looking for a charging port on any Fusion( or C-Max) that I see.

Is it the hardwired or plug version?

I just had an electrician come out to do a site survey for an L2 charger. I won't be able to get one until probably January but I have been doing some research. Has anyone purchased or had experience with the Clipper Creek LCS-25P? It seems to be just what I need. I get moved around a lot and want something that is really portable. Any info would be appreciated. P.S. I am loving driving around on EV all the time Peace, Father Bill

I just got mine on Tuesday so I am not sure yet what my cost will be. I charge up at home ($) and at my primary worksite (free). I have a couple of trips a week that are beyond EV range but most are electric only.i am estimating my $400 budget could go as low as $150. I hope for the best. Peace, Father Bill

I am hoping to get it and a state credit

Thanks for the info Murphy. My budget for the 240v station works out better for jan. Or February. I think I can hold off till then.

I have seen it mentioned that a 240V charger will charge both the HVB and the 12V battery. Does the included 120V Charger do the same for the HVB and 12V. I ask because I had major problems with my C-Max that the techs never adequately addressed. I purchased my Energi as a replacement for that car. I really want to avoid any problems like that with this car. Thanks in advance for the info. I am planning on purchasing a 240V charger in January or February but can do it sooner if I need to.
