  1. I have never driven in snow as I live in Southern California all my life. We planned to go to the mountains when it snowed would it be beneficial to use L mode at all when driving around in snow? I was thinking if I used my brakes ABS would be used, but would ABS be used under L mode? I didn't check the manual yet but figured I would ask since it seems like there is a lot of members living in areas that snow.
  2. Yea I have the same problem with the trim pieces on both sides of the car. I also had a dead 12v battery and that ended up being replaced when I first got the car.
  3. FYI, I actually looked into the focus electric and was going to lease one, my dealer gave me a great deal I thought.. 0 down 36 months $250 after tax/fees. But after researching it I checked out the focus electric forum and there was just so many people having a problem with the ssn error (Stop Safety Now). I didn't want to chance it and was able to get into the Energi and haven't had any major problems besides the 12v battery needing to be replaced. www.myfocuselectric.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=900&start=410 I also checked out the Toyota Rav4 EV and it too was having similar problems from what I was reading on the forums.
  4. You just go to the website fill out the information it requests, gather the documents it wants and mail it in. I mailed mine and I just got notice it was approved two days ago so now I am just waiting for my $1500 check in the mail. Yes you have to have the car for 36 months if something happens and you sell it then you will have to pay a partial amount back. The federal tax credit goes to the company because it is a lease that's what you may be thinking of. For the HOV stickers you need your license plate # before applying for that.
  5. FYI, if you are in CA I would strongly recommend to only do a 36 month lease so you can do the $1500 rebate with Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP). If you do a 24 month lease you cant do the rebate. Also the Ford dealer I went to had no clue about the $1500 mail in rebate. I got a Energi SE with moon roof & parking sensors only (no nav or camera). 10500miles 36month $340 after tax. 0 down
  6. Not sure how long the dealer had it, but build date 3/26/13. They had at least 5-10 and the one we bought they jumped started it but it still was having problems even after charging over night. We tried to test drive another one but that one was dead as well. Got a Energi SE with Moonroof & reverse sensors @ adjusted cap cost of $30890 (0 down 36 month 10500miles lease) seemed good to me so far. Hopefully no more problems after this.
  7. Thanks for all the updates on this. I had my 12V replaced at 20miles due to it not holding a charge. It is still in the shop waiting for the new battery. Kind of sucks having to jump start a new car at work. Build date 3/26/13.
