  1. I contacted Ford Canada via their website today, and much to my surprise, I got a quick response. CR agent emailed back and said that "Ford Canada will be introducing a similar refund program in July 2024 and they will be contacting affected owners". Interesting to note that there is a class action in Canada for this recall, and Ford is likely trying to reduce the impact by paying off owners. Will keep all posted. PS. The bummer is I really like the car and would much rather have a fix.
  2. You can call Ford at their Customer Care number and speak to a rep. Don't expect much action from this (I've called 3 times) but be sure to make your complaint and and get a reference number. If you are in Canada, you may also want to contact the law firm mentioned in this thread that has filed a class action.
  3. Update on this. I met with the legal firm (https://www.gluckstein.com/class-actions/Ford-Fusion-PHEV-2019-2020-Recall-Class-Action/learn-more) and they have confirmed that they are going ahead with a Class Action against Ford in Canada. If you are affected, suggest you contact them via that form. Note that in Canada, all impacted owners are automatically opted-in for the class action, but wouldn't hurt to get your contact info on their list. Good to know that someone will be fighting Ford on this. Lawyer said there are approximately 4000 Canadian vehicles impacted by the recall. He said he will be meeting with Ford lawyers in late April to discuss. He indicated that this meeting would be very informative regarding Ford's approach to resolving this. If they have a fix coming, the settlement would be for additional gas charges. If Ford decides to scrap the fix, the settlement scope gets much larger. Either way it may take up to a year before it hits the courts. Lawyer suggested I contact him in May for updates. Will report back.
  4. Thanks for the update Cathy. I suspect the "containment" option is the reflash to disable HVB charging until a new battery pack is available. Like you, I used to LOVE this car. I'm hanging in there ATM and hoping a fix comes this year as promised.
  5. I thought I read a clause in the Quebec regs that's state the vehicle must be 2020 or later. Mines a 2019. Lex group never got back to me, but I get the sense we are gaining some momentum with this. I'll reach out again and report back.
  6. I also have about 20k on mine, but in Canada, no buyback that I've heard of.
  7. Totally agree. I had also considered the Mach-E, but like you, I'm done with Fords. Unless they convince me otherwise. It's a shame cause I absolutely loved the car when I first bought it. Spent almost zero on gas in first year. Now I cringe everytime I hear the ICE start. Let's hope we get something out of this. What a rip off.
  8. Have any Canadians received this offer from Ford. I haven't.
  9. Interim solution only by end of 2024. Ugh. Thanks for sharing this.
  10. Same boat for all of of us. I suppose the only positive is we will have brand need HVBs eventually (in theory).
