I have the same issue. It happens to my car after it rains or when I take it to the car wash. I took it to Long McArthur ford and when they checked into it they said that it is a issue with the wire harness connectorso to the mirrors. They said ford knows about it but they wont do a recall. And then they wanted some God awful amount to fix it. No way I was paying it. I argued with them about it being a safety hazard. The first time it happened to me it was dark so i didnt my mirrors had moved, my infant son was in the car and I dang near ran a car off the road on the interstate. It could of been bad for the other car me and my son. I found out NHTSA is who issues recalls on vehicles and then dealerships have to do them. We should all make a complaint to NHTSA and see if we can't get this safety Hazzard recalled. Plus I don't like the idea of it wearing out the motor and gears to my mirrors. Then I'll have to pay for that. And they shouldn't make money to fix a problem caused by there own falty product. They need to fix it before someone gets hurt. If someone hasn't already.
