  1. Catching up - but I think they would sell more if the sales people knew what theses were. In my experience, I knew way more about the car, the rebate, and the tax credit than the dealership. In addition I've yet to see one on the lot that has any miles left in EV. In fact some of them even had a dead 12v. If you want to sell them, you need to tell customers what they are, demonstrate it, tell them about the rebates and tax credit. I'm convinced if you left me on the lot for a weekend I could move the existing 2013 inventory fairly quickly.

We eat a lot..... We fill her benz and occasionally put a bag in the back seat. I don't have high expectations :)
  4. I asked them today to check vincent, and it return nothing. They printed the screen showing that they searched for me. I've signed all the paperwork already, so when I pick it up on Monday, would that be too late to have them "check again"?

And also, she can't get one, we need to eat! This clearly isn't a grocery getter!
  6. I take delivery next week, my current truck has sync, and I've always thought that text messaging wouldn't work with the iphone. Are you saying you can get text alerts with the energi and an Iphone5?
  7. It's best to remember the code though. If the battery is dead/replaced the programmed codes get erased and only the factory code is retained. That's what my dealer told me on my f150

The unsold stock just went down by 1 :)
  10. Ok - I'm now In the family! :) Purchased today: 2013 Sterling Gray Fusion Energi Titanium with Nav and Moonroof MSRP - $42,685 Selling Price $40,317 Rebates $6,000 --- $34,317 Trade allowance was $30k which was $2k more than the best deal I had 2 days ago. I can't wait to get my $4,007 tax credit in January. :) Very pleased with sticking to my guns and getting a pretty good deal. I take delivery on Monday - they had to do a dealer swap. Whoa - Edited to add, and thanks to this Forum, I learned A LOT and made a very informed decision! Thanks to you all!
  11. Answering some of my own questions: 7.6kw to charge the battery peak it's 12.150cents or $0.92 to charge up on peak. Mid peak is 5.5cents or 41.8 cents Off peak is 2.331 cents or 17.71 cents to charge up Is that right?
  12. As I continue to research my purchase, I came across this: http://www.iplpower.com/Business/Programs_and_Services/Electric_Vehicle_Charging_and_Rates/ From the looks of it, my rates are pretty good. http://www.iplpower.com/Our_Company/Rates/Municipal_Lighting_and_Other_Devices/Rate_EVX__Experimental_TOU_Service_for_EV_Charging_on_Customer_Premises/ Can one of you math gurus calculate the peak/mid peak and off peak to charge the battery at home. I've seen the threads that say how much it takes to charge it, but I don't understand the math. Also, it looks as if they will pay for a level 1 charger? Last but not least the public charging stations are $2.50 per use, that seems high. If I'm getting 21 miles on a full charge, I'm basically getting 31mpg if the gas prices were 3.69 per gallon. With these numbers charging at home makes way more sense correct?
  13. That phone number is for a "Free Cruise Offer"
  14. I just visited the MCA weskit - before I commit to joining for a year for $50 is there something else I need to be aware of. My assumption is that I can join MCA today, go to the site listed above, enter the code, generate a PIN and present that to the dealership. What am i missing?
  15. Is this still valid into september? I requested a brochure today, but plan on purchasing this weekend. Also, it is valid on a purchase from the lot, or do you have to order on to use it. I do plan on using the lease conquest as well, I see where that might not work. I should know more tomorrow.

Wow - a lot of great information.Thank you all! I've read a lot here so far, but it's a lot to take in in just a couple of days. I'm going to continue to read, and post in the appropriate forums - but the most pressing question is: Is there any rumor to the rebates being around after 9/30?

Thanks for the info! The dealership knows I'm serious, but so far hasn't offered anything that makes me jump. On the lot they only have 2014's - 2 of them. Perhaps I need to call around to see who has the 13's. Is there any difference between the 13/14?

Hi there. I'm researching a new fusion energi. My current vehicle is a f150 platinum that gets 16.3 mpg. My commute to work is 20.4 miles 5 days a week. I do park next to the building but I haven't looked for an outlet yet. I'm enticed by the cost savings. I drive about 17k mikes per year but that's because I don't take the company car on longer trips because I like my truck ;) I see a huge cost savings by using the energi instead of just the standard hybrid. I'm spending about $300 a month on gas currently. I'm gonna check out the forum a bit, but I'm hoping I can save $250 or so a month with some conservative driving. Thanks for sharing your experiences. What do I need to ask about before I commit and buy one? Is the titanium and different for mpg?
