  1. Wow... edited that post last night and it got whacked! Anyway wanted to update rspray's sale that he found on a L2 charger. Edit 4/3/13: rspray found a L2 Charger for $595 on sale this month http://www.fordfusio...rements/?p=2410
  2. It looks like a good tint and you paid about market for it, I bet it is of much better quality then what the dealer would have installed. Not sure if you saw the specs, here they are: http://www.madico.com/window-film/automotive/madico-specifications/ When looking at the reviews you could find a few stating they like this one or that one better, but I really did not see anyone trashing it. Most importantly it does not seem to suffer from color fade and performs very well for heat reflection. I think were you are missing the ceramic is in the UV performance. Remember that the tint takes time to cure, but after it does the test of a good tint is how your vision is through the tint. Is it hazy or distorted? Also to complete the heat protection don't forget about a good front window shade.
  3. I think that may be what it said on mine too, but my dealer was able to apply it to the deal. Basically once they got it to be accepted into the system they were happy (and so was I!). So sorry to hear about all of the things your dealer put you through.
  4. If your expiration date is 5/31 then I take it back... I did not know they were extending them that long. Pretty funny game they are playing, raising the price of the options on the car and then putting extra incentives out there.
  5. So did I but they had to play with it a bit to get it to work. Mine expired the day before! (they still got it to work - and pretty happy with my dealer so far.)
  6. They potentially have your deposit. Depends on how it all played out. If they were smart they would roll it into another deal... sometimes they don't even do that (depends on what you ordered -- is it odd and hard to sell or are there people waiting to pounce?). Good dealerships are worried about making you a customer for life, not that sale.
  7. Right, up until you drive it off the lot you can still walk away. So its not sold until the paperwork is dry.
  8. Did you have the $750 private cash offer on your deal? If you switch to stock it will come off the deal.
  9. Had not heard of that one before, but it looks like you made a solid choice this time. If it was installed by a qualified distributor you should also have a lifetime warranty for fade or defect and it seems to have good heat reflective properties. I have seen it referred to as ceramic but the manufacturer does not seem to make that claim.
  10. Same film? I had this put on at 35% http://www.formulaone.com/en/pinnacle.aspx
  11. Did you get it a little cheaper then the dealer would have charged you?
  12. Honestly all these EPA numbers are hard to manage. From what I can tell, the mileage will vary wildly depending on how you drive it. I wrote about this in another post, but if you plan to drive long distances on the highway, then you are probably better off not lugging the giant battery around and just get the hybrid. We talked about this in the Decisions, decisions thread http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/513-decisions-decisions/?p=1053 I think the that the EPA is 108 for city driving all electric, but my lifetime is currently sitting at 138.2 (471 ev miles out of 565)... so what exactly does that mean? I had to work really hard to get that number, and I know that you could get really poor mileage if you don't mind the braking, accelerate hard, crank the AC, and travel at high rates of speed. But most of these behaviors will mess up the EPA rating of a Honda Civic as well. The window sticker says 100 and 43 though, and driven reasonably that is probably achievable. I made a simple spreadsheet calc that has the following cells Total miles electric gas I set the electric to 21 miles and have a cell that defines that at 100 mpge then I enter the number of gas miles, calculate that at 43 miles. then the total miles at the top is the combined mileage, with the avg being calculated [ =((B4/B3)*C4)+(B5/B3)*C5 ] B3=total miles B4=electric miles B5=gas miles C4=electric epa estimate C5=gas epa estimate I did this just to guess at what I would get at various miles driven to see how close I am to the epa avg... especially with all the whining going on. So far I am exceeding the projections... but in most cases I am driving mostly EV miles. In May I think I will take my first road trip. That will be interesting. I think the trip is right at about 500 miles, so I should be able to make that on a single tank! (Unless driving 75mph gives me horrible fuel econ) Some interesting data points. By the calculator, if you drive 100 miles you should achieve 54.97 mpge. Your break even on Hybrid and PHEV is 300 miles at 46.99 mpge
  13. Basically I am just trying to maximize the lines on the coaching screen and score the best I can on the braking... I can hit 98-100% pretty frequently when I can plan the stop. Just so you know, I am pretty competitive :shift:
  14. I did it the way this editor normally works, but they have disabled the function. Will take a look a little later and update this post.
  15. Once you upload your photos to your album then you click on the My Media button in this editor, then click on Gallery Images tab and select your photo.
  16. Should have read that second part... 108 is the electric only estimate (your first 21 miles) and I think that was revised down to 100. If you look at your sticker I think you will see that after 21 miles you go into hybrid mode and they estimate 43. So Theoretically you have over 600 miles on a full tank with a full charge.
  17. This is not an easy question to answer. Your mileage will vary is very applicable here. Most of the complaints about mileage and don't look at mileage until you break the car in are coming from the hybrid drivers. With the PHVE there are some of us here who have barely run our engines. I have 543 miles on the car already and have not burned 3 gallons of gas yet. Now to get that mileage I am really trying. Even if its 30 degrees outside, I am leaving the climate control off. Window fogs, I crack the sunroof. Using the eco cruise to get up to speed, etc. There is a good topic on EV mileage you might want to check out here: http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/630-ev-miles/ You should also read the topic in this section to learn about how to get the most out of your car. In short though, if you take lots of short trips and can keep the ICE off then you will get very good MPGe ( I am currently over 130 ). If you try and drive this car like you would a gas powered car your mileage will suffer greatly. There is a very good coach screen that will help you.
  18. I found this image on a Ford Focus forum... I like it a lot. You can find quite a few doing a google search too. Anybody else change their home screen?
  19. Finally took some pictures. Here is a picture of MFT with my 8,000 songs loaded!
  20. You can see here on the corner the screen that was applied. I really put my fingers all over this before snapping the picture, if there was bright sun you would be able to see some fingerprints. But most of the time it looks clean like this. Here is the screen while its on.
  21. Welcome to the boards Bobbie. How much is the electrician going to charge to come look at your circuit? You can pick up an outlet tester at any hardware store for less than $10. http://www.amazon.com/Gardner-Bender-GFI-3501-Outlet-Tester/dp/B00170KUPC/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1364695242&sr=8-4&keywords=ground+fault+tester Now if you are going to have the electrician out, make sure you have them check the load... have him tell you what outlets go to which breaker. You will (or at least I have) pop your breaker if you try running multiple high current devices (like a leaf blower) while you are trying to charge your car. But even if you do, just walk over to your panel and throw the switch back. Now I don't charge while I am blowing. Spend a little time on the board you will become addicted before you know it.
  22. From the album: meyersnole

I did not wipe the screen, so this is how it looks lit. Also notice 8,379 songs
  23. From the album: meyersnole

Right before I took this picture I tried to put my fingers all over the screen. It does actually help quite a bit.
