How long does it take Ford to solve problem. How much battery damage has been done through excessive amperage flow? Will Ford pay for battery replacement?

I just received the letter today, Jul 28. I don’t know if it’s related, but my check engine light has come on about 4 times over the last 2 years. I tried to bring it in once but the light went out after I brought it in to get an appointment. Engine has come on a few times with reason given that battery is too hot. I’ve been charging up til today. Now, I’m stopping.

I want to be able to charge my 2019 Fusion Energi from 240. I am having a 240 line installed at my new residence. Specifically, what do I need to be able to charge my Energi? Is it a portable cord with controls in it like the 110 v cord I have? Is it some control pannel that gets put up on the outside wall? Please help. What does EVSE stand for? Thanks for the help for a confused 80 year old.

Is it better to recharge everytime you can or to wait until the battery is totally discharged? I have a 2019 Ford Fusion Energi. thanks for your help.
