  1. I had them re-work a couple of circuits and then they were able to put it in the same box. It cost me $250. ChuckJ
  2. Thanks for the feedback, it's about the same as I'm experiencing. Usually people say you have to get 10,000 miles before you start getting your best mileage. With the engine being off most of the time, I'm not sure when we will hit the sweat spot, but 40 on the road is just fine with me given the fantastic mileage (now have hit 60 MPGe overall since we've owned the car-2800 miles). ChuckJ
  3. Perhaps Ford should find 3 airplane bags that fit well, put a classy Ford Energi logo on them and give them as part of the purchase (and offer them for sale). ChuckJ
  4. Yep, if I come home with any battery left, I just haven't traveled 20-something miles. :) ChuckJ
  5. How great would it be if someone finds a 3000 lumens bulb for a reasonable price. ChuckJ
  6. Sorry about your issue and hope you get it resolved soon. ChuckJ
  7. Mine is an Android also, but luckily I didn't delete the app before I read the email. ChuckJ
  8. Nice car. I almost bought a Model T in great condition a few years ago for $10,000. Now I wish I had. ChuckJ
  9. I agree, there isn't that much need for a HV battery indicator during hybrid operations, except when you've used up all the HV energi and you've timed it so you can use up the small hybrid reserve to finish getting to your charge point. ChuckJ
  10. You're probably not getting pure sine wave AC so be careful what you plug into it. ChuckJ
  11. I got this email which says they are postponing the upgrade. ChuckJ Dear MyFord Mobile User, This email is being sent to inform you that we were unable to execute the changes of the MyFord Mobile website and mobile app that we had previously informed you would occur. We will now be making the aforementioned changes at a later date. You may see the new version of MyFord Mobile in the app store or pushed to your phone as an update. Please do not use this version and continue to use the version you have been. We apologize for any inconvenience as we make this change. Should you have any issues, please call the Customer Relationship Center at 1-800-392-3673. After the language prompt please select option 3 and then option 4 to be connected with the team that interacts with consumers on Ford’s In-Vehicle Technology. The hours of operation are 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM M-F and 11:30 AM – 5:00 PM Saturday (ET). 12. There's a picture in the owners manual but I couldn't follow it so I went to the dealer to get educated. He showed me the battery in the back. When I reminded him that you couldn't get in the trunk if there was no battery power, we moved to the engine compartment with the manual picture. Neither one of us could accurately identify the posts so a good picture would be wonderful. ChuckJ
  13. Well, the best news is that if it stays that way it's probably going to get corroded and stop working (within the warranty period). Then they will get to replace it. ChuckJ
  14. This is the email I got. It's addressed to Focus folks, but is implies it will be merged with plug-in which means our would have to change also. ChuckJ Dear Focus Electric MyFord Mobile User, This email was sent to inform you of the changes to the Focus Electric version of the MyFord Mobile website and mobile app. In order to provide the best consumer experience the Focus Electric version of MyFord Mobile will be merged with the Plug-In Hybrid version to create a single, user-friendly interface. On Sunday, October 13th, from midnight to approximately 8 AM Eastern Time, the Focus Electric MyFord Mobile website and mobile app will be unavailable as we perform the necessary updates. During this time, any charge settings you have previously entered will function properly but will not be able to be altered via MyFord Mobile; this includes both Value Charging and GO Times features. How will this benefit you? By combining the infrastructure of both the Focus Electric and Plug-In Hybrid versions of MyFord Mobile it will enable Ford to make future enhancements more quickly. How will this impact you? You will still be able to use your existing user name and password on the new site. In the event that you have both a Focus Electric and a Plug-In Hybrid account, the Plug-In Hybrid account credentials will take precedence. There will be a new MyFord Mobile app available for both iPhone and Android. The existing Focus Electric app will no longer function or receive updates. You will need to delete the existing app and download the new app.To ensure the system is displaying the most recent vehicle and driving information, you should press the “Update” button immediately after logging into MyFord Mobile.Your data will be migrated from the current version to the new version. You will have to re-enter any Value Charge times after selecting the “Update” button. In addition, as we streamline the user experience the following features will be affected: The Discussion forum will become available one week later on October 20thTrip Planner will be available only on the mobile appFacebook and Twitter integration for driving achievements will be discontinued We apologize for any inconvenience during this change as we make this change, and we wish many more all-electric miles in your future. Should you have any issues after the conversion please call the Customer Relationship Center at 1-800-392-3673. After the language prompt please select option 3 and then option 4 to be connected with the team that interacts with consumers on Ford’s In-Vehicle Technology. 15. Congratulations! This makes to car sooooo much more useful and fun. ChuckJ
  16. Has anyone downloaded the new MyFordMobile? Does it have any benefits? Work well? ChuckJ
  17. Dag: That can't be good for the contacts. I would take those pictures in and see if the dealer would replace the seal. We do not get any water in when we take it to the car wash and that's strong pressure. ChuckJ
  18. ChuckJ

    Nitrogen

Good for airplanes, probably not cost effective for cars. ChuckJ
  19. Don't forget you've got another 1-2 miles on the hybrid portion of the battery after are reading 0 miles. ChuckJ
  20. Amazon is usually a very easy return process, are they giving you trouble? ChuckJ
  21. Mine is working fine currently. ChuckJ
  22. Not sure why you don't see the two circles, but suggest you try setting it to measure MPGe in the settings menu. They are very conservative, because they don't include the hybrid portion of the battery. I have the blinking circle and have always assumed it was the standard. Yes, it is very annoying and appears useless. ChuckJ
  23. It is smooth when on EV or EV+engine, but if you run the battery down to zero miles left, then use up the hybrid portion of the battery, the acceleration will be slower and the engine will not be as smooth. ChuckJ
