installed driver's mat -
Hey - I still like the photo that someone posted that showed the trunk could carry 4 cases of wine! Helped me justify to the wife my choice!

Front passenger side mat comparison -
I agree. The photo doesn't do it justice - the photo looks skewed because of the angle. The passenger side mat is actually a little larger - not smaller as the pic shows. I'll have to repost...

Well - I ordered the trunk mat today. Instead of the more expensive berber that I got for the fronts, I went for basic black plush to save some $$$. Here are the prices for the trunk: plush = 60.00 Ultra plush = 64.95 stain resistant = 84.95 berber = 84.95 I'd recommend going to their website and requesting samples of the four different materials. When I did this, the samples came with a discount code. Not sure if the trunk mat yet shows on the website, since when I ordered my front, I ordered it as a regular 2013 fusion. I ordered the trunk mat from Laura Clayton <laura@qualitycarmats.com>. I'll post a pic when it arrives.

Okay - my mats arrived today. Below is a pic that shows the new ones on left, the original on the right. Ordered form www.qualitycarmats.com I went with the luxury berber, with a heel pad. Oddly enough, I just received an email from them that they can now make a trunk carpet. I'm trying to get pricing on that and will post once I do. These look great - only drawback is that they can not stitch in the make or model name due to copyright issues. I could have gon with "Titanium" or geeked out and gotten "H+H=He"... :) Edit: better pics

For those on an iDevice - my version is MyFordMobile 1.4.2.ipa (looking in iTunes - show in finder). It is working. Jeff - I could email this to you - send me a pm if needed...

Going on a long road trip over the holidays. Looks like the best option to boost this number is to not turn off the car until I have come to as close to exhausting the range as possible. Better tell my wife to not drink any water - bio breaks will affect my results! ;) I doubt that I'll be able to get much past 600 though. Freeway driving at 75 mph will not help my score unless I have a large downhill grade and can drag the brakes - but that will gain me what, 25 miles at most? Part of me wants to delete the MFM bookmark and just enjoy the car!

I'd rather have a carpeted finish - hence going with qualitycarmats.com. I'll post pictures after the front mats arrive tomorrow.

I like the berber front mats from qualitycarmats.com (should arrive on Monday). The driver side mat is longer than the factory mat and should do a better job protecting. However, I did ask about an Energi trunk mat and got the following. If more of us ask, it might move up in their queue... Hello, I have checked with the pattern specialist at the factory. To date he does not have a pattern for that make model year. However, he has added it to his "list" of vehicles to find so he may acquire a pattern. Please check back with me in a few weeks or if he emails me sooner I will contact you by email also. Agreed. My next door neighbor has a black MKZ hybrid. While I definitely prefer my FFE to his hybrid, I would have considered the MKZ Energi if it had existed...
-
I believe you are right. I drove from San Diego to Anaheim last weekend and mine went from 40 to 83. Makes sense now. Guess I need to find a several hundred mile stretch of freeway that is all downhill and not make any stops...

Need your help - Fusion Energi or Fusion Hybrid?
SD Diver replied to Charlie3831's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
Congrats and enjoy! Mine is 1 month old today. -
Never got the email, buy I do have the new app. It now shows new options such as community (so I can now see how far the gas sipper calculation is on my iPhone) as well as some of the other previous web-only functions. Nice update.

Cost of using car charging (Chargepoint, Blink etc.)
SD Diver replied to Kiros's topic in Batteries & Charging
Thanks APM. Since my post, I have had a L2 charger installed and SDG&E has moved me to the EVTOU2 plan. So, my midnight-5am rate is $.16. Unfortunately, being hardwired, I can't readily measure the electrical use per charge (nor do I know of a 240 "kill-a-watt". Got home last night in EV+ mode, with EV at 0 and "hybrid" at about 1/3 full. Charged in 2 hours, 10 minutes. If I use your numbers above, and assumed that it fully charges the hybrid battery (which I am not sure of) I probably used 1.0 * 5.4 + .67 * 1.2, or 6.2 kW. Cost would be 6.2*1.2*.16 or $1.19. Much better... Assuming just the 5.4 kW, it would be $1.04. -
Well, at least you know that you have the VIN correct. Still no luck with MFM?
-
Really? Mine didn't. I got the car on 9/11, and finally got the plates/registration on Saturday 10/5. Filled out the on-lone form and sent it and my $8 off this morning. BTW - another thread mentions how Gov. Brown signed a new bill last week that extends the green stickers out to 2019! :woohoo:

Fat Fusion - try this site to see if it recognizes your vin: http://www.etis.ford...cleSelection.do This will give you the build date, etc. Also, this site tells you everything you ever wanted to know about ford VINs: http://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenance/vin-decoder Good luck!

I feel your pain... My other ride is an Infiniti G35. Driving it on our SoCal freeways, I tend to be aggressive. Woe to the driver in the fast lane of the freeway who is not doing at least 85. Stuck behind him, I get ticked! Well, yesterday I am driving from San Diego to Anaheim in the Energi. drive 3 miles to I-5. Oh no - now that I am on the freeway, I had better save my battery for my destination - time to switch to EV Later. Started the trip with a 84.5 lifetime mpg (from the left info display). Crap! My numbers are falling - 50 miles in and I'm down below 80 mpg lifetime. Time to take the carpool lane. Use the ECO cruise control and inch it up to 70 while watching my gas use increase. Traffic is building up behind me. Inch it up to 75 - cringing on the result the whole time. Then it dawns on me - I'm cringing because I'm only getting 40 mpg? In the Infiniti, I'd be at 85-90 and feeling good about getting 20 mpg. What is happening to me? Have I aged 30 years in the 3+ weeks I've had this car? Decided to drive the Infiniti today to get back some of my lost youth. Part of me wants to just ignore MFM and drive like I'd like, but my competitive nature won't allow it... So, am I a better drive now? Certainly when I drive my Energi... :) Does anyone else feel that we not so much drive these cars as pilot them?
