Ok, what is this black plastic thing that goes from side to side... Can I get rid of it? What's in it?

the "hungry wheels" was referring to the wheels that the vehicle came with... they "ate the curbs" meaning they have a ton of curb rash on them

Please reread what I wrote... I mentioned I will use summer tires and then winter tires for the winter...

I Know this is old but I just got these for my 17... Very nice fit. I'm going to wait till they form for but I'm going to guess that they are as good as the weathertechs

Hey guys just got a 2017 energi and the last owner mustve never fed it because it looks like it ate every curb it saw. I got some extremely light weight 18" wheels to replace them and looking for tires.. 1. should I be looking at 225/45/18 or 235/45/18 as the 225 is thinner, it should help with the resistance but I don't know if the weight of the vehicle would be the issue. 2. what is a good low resistance tire , only summer is fine or all season too. for winter I will use a strictly winter tire on the hungry wheels. Thanks for any info provided.
