Hello, I have a Ford Fusion Energi 2017 Titanium. I don't know much about the speed rating and load index, I pretty much bought a set that was recommended for my vehicle which went buy the size (235/45R18). I noticed the 94V later and was wondering if that speed rating and load index are fine for my vehicle? I am guessing it is if the store system said it was compatible, just double checking,

What Energi models are affected by this recall?

Could anyone confirm if the outside diameter of the front brakes are 316mm?

It rained quite a bit today when my wife used the car. I noticed the fuel tank door was opened when she got home. She told me she must have accidentally opened it when she got out. If in the case she actually drove with the tank door opened, is there any possibility that rain water could have gone past the flap? And could it be a hazard for the engine?

I know you can charge your vehicle in the rain and snow, but when not charging, can it be left unplugged outside in the rain? Wife has this bad habit of just leaving the cable on the ground and leave.

I was able to reproduce the buzz at Park, and pushing the brake and release. Buzz is heard after each brake. https://streamable.com/ezeur2 -
Ford Fusion Energi 2017 - Buzzing noise on EV mode?
Madevilz replied to Madevilz's topic in General Discussion
constant, seems to be at low speed, so could it be the Pedestrian warning device? Or does that sound differently? -
Noticed this as my wife drove the car in our driveway. Sounded like a very loud hair clipper buzzing noise. Can't be heard inside the car. When I asked my wife if she heard it, she said no. So it could have been happening for a while but we never noticed it as we are driving it. I'm 99% sure the buzz/humming can only be heard on EV mode. What can this be?

I just noticed it today, after a short 10min drive, I noticed some water drops near the exhaust system, so I checked under the car and saw a small hole. Seems to have been drilled and not some kind of road hazard damage. Is this normal? Pics https://ibb.co/9YcRTQ6 https://ibb.co/C9vcmXZ

Nope, don't need a 50 ft but that was the only one that I could find. The charger can actually go from my garage to the car outside but I just don't want it to hang on the wall without a support. I'd rather have an extension cord and let the charger sit on the ground. Found this 10ft one from Amazon which is quite affordable, will it do the job? https://www.amazon.ca/AmazonBasics-Heavy-Lighted-Extension-Orange/dp/B07N4MBKPL/ref=sr_1_7?crid=12VKTFDCFYRWV&dchild=1&keywords=heavy+duty+extension+cord&qid=1592883810&refinements=p_72%3A11192170011&rnid=11192166011&sprefix=heavt+duty+extension+cord%2Caps%2C164&sr=8-7

Ive owned a Fusion Energy 2017 for a year now, and had no idea it is not recommended to use an extension cord with the 120V charger until now. Even worst, I have been using one of those orange cords used for the lawn. It has been charging just fine and never noticed overheating. Is it not recommended because the extension cord could have melted? I have found a 50ft, 12 Gauge, 15 Amp, 125 Volt cord, will that be ok to use with the charger?

Ordered Air and Cabin air filters from Walmart!
Madevilz replied to Neil's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
Didn't want to make a new thread about it, but whoever designed the cabin access to the air filter should never touch one ever. Of every car I have owned, this has to be the most overly complicated one to open, especially with the way they placed the bottom left bolt. But of course they wanted to make it hard so people would go to the dealer and have it changed instead. That is all lol :) -
No mods. We only noticed acceleration being louder a couple of months ago or so. After the oil change a few days ago, it sounds normal, like when I bought it.
-
Windows all up, with heater on, pretty cold over here :) Normal driving condition. Sound is just like normal acceleration, but louder, not like a tank, but I mean, slightly louder that makes it noticeable to someone driving it every day. And even to my wife who only gets in once a week or so. Maybe it could indeed be something loose. Had a 30pt inspection included with the oil change, maybe they unscrewed some stuff out and put them back, tightening them at the same time. I mean, if it had anything with the oil, they would have mentioned it right? Inspection came back all good.

About a month ago, my wife told me my engine sounded louder when accelerating. I kinda noticed the same. My oil change wasnt due before another 5k+ miles, and the oil color/level all looked good. Went to the dealer yesterday, and did my oil change sooner than the recommended interval. I immediately hear a difference upon driving, the engine did sound quieter. This was my first oil change as I bought it 6 months ago. Dont think it is my imagination, does older oil make the engine louder? Asking so I stop worrying about any engine damage done when it was louder lol Ford Fusion Energi 2017

This website says 10K miles? https://www.openbay.com/maintenance/2017-ford-fusion-energi Did they confuse it with the hybrid?

Will this fit with the oem Fusion wheels? https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/white-knight-773807fr-spline-lug-nuts-chrome-20-pk-1416780p.1416780.html

Tried switching to my winter tires today, used a 19mm wrench, most of the nuts fitted, but some seems to be a tad bigger. I find it odd that the nuts are different sizes... then after looking around the web, it seems like the Fusion has problem with swollen lug nuts? Ill go to a shop to get them out... should I replace all my lug nuts with aftermarkets ones?

Have this car for a month now (Energi 2017), and it is only the first time today I had my rear windows down. Around 40 MPH+ the wind begins to be very noisy. On the highway, I swear, it sounded like a helicopter, to the point that it was hurting my ears. Never had such intense throbbing noise from wind in any of my previous cars. If I put the front windows down, it became a lot less noisy. So I tried a few combos, both front windows down, not noisy, one or both rear windows down, very noisy. All windows down, not noisy. Should I get my car checked?

I am guessing that is an US law? I dont believe Canada has this law. My ex car didnt even have this feature.
-
are they required? I could live without having sensors if they are not required.
-
I am buying a new set of wheel for my winter tires. I have the option to add tire sensors to the wheels. I'd like to know if the Fusion has the tire sensor already integrated, or do I need to add them to my wheels? thanks

Thanks. Can I go by the percentage to determine my next oil change? At what % is a change usually needes?

I bought a used Ford Energi 2017. Dealer told me an oil change have been made prior to purchase. After delivery, I got no sticker indicating the next maintenance milage, dont even know if they used synthetic or conventional oil. The oil quality on the didsplay shows 92%. Is that reading accurate and can I go by it?
