  1. Yes, it was true at the time of your order and mine as well. That was why I was so anxious for the Build and Price for the car to appear on Ford.com, because I knew there would be items available that were not on the order sheet that we used when I ordered my car. For me it's too late but if any of you see something you missed your dealer can add it up to the time the factory assigns the car a VIN. Once that happens, game over.
  2. I know you are all anxious about your own orders so thank you all for being so kind as to congratulate me on my progress to date. You are a special group.
  3. Nope, they are there, under Exterior Accessories...$50 option for rear molded splash guards. Add them to your order before a VIN is assigned to the car.
  4. I think I saw rear molded splash guards on the Build and Price on the Ford website. Both front and rear molded splash guards are available after market, but more expensive. It is one more factory item I missed by being ahead of the curve. I would like to add them when the car gets here but I am sure about any drag they would cause either. I can't imagine it would be much though.
  5. I have never known that and never asked. All I have ever had was a computerized copy of the options for the car. The order that went to the factory had a different number on it than mine does. It may very well be that they entered the order as a dealer order, without my name on it, and that would probably make it a Job 1.
  6. My Window Sticker popped up this morning at around 8:00 am. See it here:http://fordlabels.webview.biz/webviewhybrid/WindowSticker.aspx?vin=3FA6P0SU2DR242421. I'm one step closer.
  7. Thanks shaggy314, I made note of this too. Maybe meyersnole can add this to his list as well.
  8. Bajar el culo means 'get off your butt'. Not quite as delicate as duff but it will do. I'm happy this worked out so well for you in your state...no such luck in AZ.
  9. Excellent job, meyersnole, I have already printed the form and instructions and placed them in my 2013 tax folder. Thank you. Love the way you are keeping this information together.
  10. Or you could do what I did a couple of years ago...even outside of California. Our local power company and Feds were offering incentives to install solar so I started looking around and attended a seminar put on by several solar companies in our area. One of them was a leasing company and what I heard intrigued me. Long story short I leased instead of bought my solar system. I was paying Equal Pay payments of $142 a month for electricity and once I signed my lease my payments went to $121 a month for the next 20 years and they will never go up. No matter what they power company does. My payments went down because I chose to put $2,000 down and, in essence, I bought down my payment down by putting cash up front. I could have invested $0 however. The leasing company gets to use my tax credits. The leasing company also owns the system and they will maintain it for the next 20 years. If something falls out of the sky or the wind damages one of the panels, they will replace it. If the inverter fails, they will replace it...and so on. To date the system has been trouble free. If I sell the house, the system and the payments go to the new owner, if they want it. But who won't want guaranteed payments? If they don't, I price the system into the house, pay it off and the leasing company will come and remove the system. I can buy the system any time in those 20 years. The price is prorated and a payoff table is published in my contract. Leasing of solar systems is nation wide so if you live somewhere that solar makes sense I recommend you look into it.
  11. I have looked on the Blue Oval Forum and on the C-Max Energi Forum to see if I could locate someone who documented their experience of how their Ford dealership led them through the install of their charger. I could find no such posting. If anyone knows of a posting like that please let us know where it is.
  12. The charger is another thing we are out in front of the curve on. The dealers and technicians have not even seen one of these cars and all they seem to know is that they come in 110 and 220 volt configurations. The only gripe I have so far is that my car is due to be here in about 7 weeks, or so, and they are not talking to me about the charger at all. My understanding is that Ford is contracted with Best Buy to do the install but since my dealer is not certified yet they have no information on it at all. There is still plenty of time for everything to gel, but I do get a bit anxious.
  13. That's not an apples to oranges question, meyersnole. I placed my order in November and had many guesses at when the car would be produced. Since you placed your order on 1/21, your process will be different from mine. However, in a week or two (because production has started) your salesman should be able to give you a tentative date when parts should be pulled for your car...mine were finally pulled on 1/18 and that is the key that leads to a build week an ETA and a VIN. I have a really good salesman who doesn't BS me and the guy he calls, who places the orders for the dealership, has been pretty straight arrow too. You just have to stay on your sales guy to get you that information. On the Blue Oval Forum I notice there are others who placed orders around the same time I did, and some even before me, that don't have build weeks or ETA's posted yet. My guess is that both are available to them but their salesmen are not letting them know what they are. They should make a call.
  14. Since we may start a new thread for order process, I will continue answering on this thread for now. The brochure should be the same. It shows all the Fusion models and is a pretty cool little brochure.
  15. Yes, Taylorjd, that was my intent when I started this thread but I did not make it clear that no discussion should be carried out on this thread and now we have almost four pages of discussion, other than the order process by those who have placed an order for the Energi. I note you have placed your info on the Blue Oval Forum. We can start another thread here and restrict discussion (hopefully) or we can use your thread in the Blue Oval Forum but that means everyone here will have to register on that site as well. That's not a problem for me, since I am already registered there. I really don't want two places to post that information though. I won't make that decision everyone else though, let me hear from you and others.
  16. Well, low and behold I got another Fusion Brochure in the mail this afternoon and there was a $750 private cash offer inside to use on any car of my choice, in addition to any other offers and incentives. Now I don't feel so left out. Now I will probably get another brochure because I ordered one this morning.
  17. Thanks meyersnole, I ordered another brochure this morning and that will give me something to look for.
  18. Thanks murphy, I found it and ordered one. We will see if any incentive coupons come with it.
  19. I get a lot of junk mail like that so it is conceivable I tossed it. I thought of ordering another brochure but I am having trouble finding where I can do that.
  20. Yes, if they stepped in it and made a mistake, they will have to live with. I have a contract of sale that I signed as well and put down a deposit, so now it will depend on how greedy they are.
  21. I just looked at the $1,500 incentive that is offered on the Ford site and it says it is "3 payments on us cash (customer must make actual payments)" and that you have to take new retail delivery from dealer STOCK by 2/4/13. Is that the same $1,500 you got, or different?
  22. I asked for a brochure before they were even available and finally got one months ago. But no coupon. That's is one of the problems with being way out in front of the curve...and I have found there are others, like not knowing about X-plan pricing and asking for it after the fact.
  23. I am pretty sure it's okay to post numbers here, since we have been doing that for awhile now and nothing has been said. We will have to have a PIN to enter the Partner site and I will have to spend $50 to get one so I am not going to do that until my dealer says he will allow me to use X-Plan pricing. Then I just have to hope it works. My son has been a Ford man for years. Even the trucks he uses in his business are Fords, but this is my first Ford ever. I drove a gas model Fusion and a C-Max hybrid and found the C-Max had a surprising amount of power and that the Fusion was very quiet and an easy drive. I am certain I have made the right choice here. I have never ordered a car before either and, like most of you, I have been researching this car for about a year and have had my order in since November of 2012 and the wait has been excruciatingly slow. Especially since Ford has been so very slow in releasing any information about the car at all. Thank God I can see a light at the end of the tunnel now...just hope it's not a train.
  24. That is simply mahvelous dahling. Thanks again for sharing. One more question and I will leave you alone. How did you get your X-Plan Pin? Are you a Ford part supplier or a partner in some other way? I still don't have word back whether my dealer will allow me use X-Plan pricing or not. If they do, I am going to have to go the Mustang Club route that was suggested in another thread in this forum.
