Once each day I get an email message from no-reply@myfordmobile.com. It says: "2015 Fusion is scheduled to begin charging soon and needs to be plugged in." The strange thing is that I have no GO times or value charging settings. Why am I getting this annoying message and how to stop it?

How does that work? I do most of my charging after sundown (when solar panels don't produce electricity).

http://www.plugincars.com/general-motors-tries-again-ev-leadership-volt-and-bolt-130431.html Chevrolet is coming out with their 2016 Volt later this year. It has a bigger battery that is lighter and has a range of 50 miles. Come on Ford, let's see some improvements to the FFE!

Careful with the Panic button
gary945 replied to dlb92's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
Likewise, the alarm is often tripped when inserting or removing the fob from my pocket. Incidentally, I had the plastic button for the trunk lid fall off the fob. The little plastic ears that are supposed to retain it in the fob are very weak and break off easily. -
Any alternative to the giant key fob?
gary945 replied to mikenmar's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
My friend's C-Max Energi fob is quite a bit sleeker. I see no reason why Ford made the Fusion's fob so much fatter. It makes for an uncomfortable lump in my pockets. -
Count me in: 12 volt dies overnight or while at work
gary945 replied to mergy's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
Not sure it's related but a friend had her C-Max 12V battery die twice in one month. It turned out that after shutting down she had left the transmission in Drive rather than Park. Not sure why that would kill the 12V battery overnight. -

I have seen both issues with my 2013 Fusion Energi. 1. The opening assist spring for the trunk is very weak. When I use the key fob the trunk opens less than one inch. On inclines the trunk lid won't stay in the fully open position. 2. The express up/down feature of the driver's window is temperamental. The other 3 windows seem to work properly.

My 2013 Fusion Energi qualified. I received my HOV stickers about 4 weeks after applying.

Anyone know about the spare tire on the Energi?
gary945 replied to jsamp's topic in Lounge - Fusion Energi
It depends on how much time you have to waste. I can change a tire in 15 minutes by myself, while a wait for a service truck can delay you an hour or more. -
Full access to the app took several days for me after registration.

How do you select Vent mode?

I did not realize the car was drawing 60 watts from the 120 VAC charger even before the 11 PM Value Charge starts. When the car is plugged in I can hear a fan running in the high voltage battery compartment. Why would that fan need to run when no charging is taking place? I suppose I could put a timer on the charge cord.

I bought my 2013 Energi Titanium 10 weeks ago. Actually I leased it. It's my first hybrid, and it replaced a loaded 2006 Honda V6 Accord EX sedan. The Accord was absolutely trouble-free but I wanted something that had more up-to-date technology. After 2500 miles behind the wheel I must say that I love the Energi. It rides better than my Accord and easily gets double its gas mileage. There is something space-age-like about the sound the electric motor makes when you take off in EV (battery) mode. The thrill is back! I don't need neck-snapping acceleration.
