Thanks murphy. After trying the acrobatics to get the fuse out, decided the battery was the easy way out :-) MFM is now working again, and all I lost of settings was the MyView settings.

MyFordMobile (web and app) stopped synching for me 9 days ago. Clicking Update fails each time. Does anyone have an idea on how to troubleshoot? Thanks, Bjorn

The USB port is powered when the car is turned off. I find that really useful as I can leave a cell phone plugged in to charge when leaving the car.

Just finished installing a Clipper Creek HCS-40 (30A charger). Plan on keeping the Enegi for a few years and hope to convince my better half of getting an EV in the next year or two, so having a more powerful charger makes sense to me. Also, I think a 240V charger makes a lot of sense for the Energi.

Howardbc: great topic The best way I've found to explain is to say the car is two cars in one: 1. EV car for commuting and around town during the week and most weekends 2. Hybrid car for out of town and road trips that gets mileage same as my '04 Prius If they want to know more, I go into numbers and how it actually works. This is also how I think about the car, but still don't like seeing the MPG (or mpge) numbers fall when outside ev range.

On my last trip, I averages 47.9 MPG over180 miles. Elevation drop was 2500'' which helped, but I usually get 45MPG or better.

I'm finding I'm getting more or less the same mileage on the Energi on road trips (no charging) as I did on my '04 Prius. Not bad for a much nicer riding - and looking - car!

I should add that 120V charging is fine in most cases, but have a faster charge especially on weekends would be great.

I'm planning in installing an L2 myself as well. The biggest pain in my case is the permit process. I only need to pull about 40 feet all external so not a big deal. Still on the fence between the 20A and 30A Clipper Creek EVSEs. The smaller one is really nice and compact with a thinner cable to the handle, but the bigger one is more future proof (hoping to convince my better half to trade in her Cooper for an EV in the next couple of years). A bigger gap would be great, but I can easily get skis, 2x4 lumber, garden tools, etc to fit, so I find it very useful.

Some states, like California, also give you a state refund ($1500 in CA), combined with driving in car pool lanes makes it an even easier decision. I've had my Energi Titanium since September and would get one again in a heartbeat. Moved up from an '04 Prius and get the same highway mileage on the energi in hybrid mode as I did with the Prius. Of course buying a car is an emotional purchase, so everyone will have different reactions to different cars. Bjorn

I've been charging outdoors since I got the car in September, but due to the drought in California (I'm in the Bay Area), have not had much rain. However, after 4 days of rain earlier this month, the charge door no longer springs open. I suspect it's the lubricant, but before I try to lube it, I figured I'd check with the community to see of any others are experiencing this. Thanks, Bjorn

I had 42 miles one time! This was after driving down from Lake Tahoe (6,000 feet elev). Now, I was not able to drive 42 miles after charging, but it was fun to see it. :-) I normally get 24-26 miles per charge (plus the hybrid portion of HVB).

You're right, looking at the hybrid warranty booklet that came with the car, it says all the CARB states except for PA and WA are covered by the 10/150,000 rule.

All the CARB states (all states using the California Air Resource Boards) rules has 10year/150,000 miles warranty on battery. CARB states are California, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, NewYork, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington. Bjorn

Depending on the state you're in, you'll also get a state tax rebate as well as use car pool lanes. Don't know if it's still available, but Ford had a $1,000 competitive conquest rebate in the Energi. Many dealers were not aware of it when I bought and I had to tell them. All you need to prove is that you have a non-Ford registered in your name.

I agree, pick a dealership you trust. All dealers will be able to give you the same Ford incentives. Also, if you find one you like, let them know what discounts you're being offered elsewhere. They'll probably match or come close.

Ford is having great rebates on the 2013 models right now. Just picked up my Energi Titanium yesterday at James Ford in Half Moon Bay, CA (San Francisco Bay Area): 2013 White Platinum Fusion Energi Titanium MSRP $43,280 (Options: Moonroof & Navigation) James Ford September Internet Sale $40,000 Minus $4,500 Ford rebate $ 4,500 Minus $1,000 Competitive Ownership Ford rebate $ 1,000 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Total Sale Price $34,500.00 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With the $4,000 Federal tax credit and $1,500 California State tax credit, it brings the car to $29,000.

Starting 9/18, the total Ford incentive rebates totals to $5,500 for the 2013 models. That includes $1,000 for customers coming from other brands than Ford. I just picked up my 2013 Energi Titanium yesterday. If anyone else is waiting for a great time to buy, now is the time.

I've been watching this forum for the last few months, and finally took the plunge and pickup up my 2013 White Platinum Energi Titanium yesterday. Ford added extra rebates on the 2013 Energi on Thursday, so my total rebates from Ford was $5,500.
