When you know it's going to rain, perhaps try putting some paper towel around the contacts and shutting the door. When it stops raining, or perhaps after a while and under cover, check to see if the paper is wet. Don't want to give it time to dry out.

It's said that driving while talking on a phone can be as bad driving drunk, even changing the radio can be dangerous. With all the info-displays, I keep thinking that it might be too much. Watching for the brake coach to pop up? Watching the driving coach? Not braking or accelerating as much as you should because you don't want to hurt your score? Switching displays while in motion? Anyone agree, or does everyone enjoy having something to do during their commute? ;)

Do any of the other items on that page of the app have the no symbol? You might not have full control yet. You have to connect to the car twice, once, then once again the next day, have to hit confirmation on the car's screen.

I got an update for MFM on Android today. Only tried it once, but the passcode appears to be working.

The Mythbusters tackled that. Not scientific, I know, but two identical vehicles, identical loads, identical conditions, drivers doing the same (on a test course, so no traffic) and identical amounts of gasoline added. Over 55, the vehicle with the windows down ran dry well before the other, IIRC. Now this was a while ago, and I think they were SUVs. Maybe it's not as bad now. But I still do it to lessen the amount of wind whipping through the car and the noise. I'm trying to balance efficiency with comfort. Otherwise, for example at home, I would strip down in the summer and never turn the A/C on and bundle up in the winter and never use the heat. But anyway... There is definitely a certain point at which it's better to use the A/C. The A/C's going to require the same amount of energy regardless, but with your open windows will cause more and more resistance the faster you go. The thing is, I imagine it's different from vehicle to vehicle and newer ones may be better; 55 is just a rule of thumb.

I usually get 30 (or rather, it claims 30), but I lowered it to 26 to include the times I used the A/C. I'm curious to see what happens this winter.

Yeah, basically what they said. The car learns how you drive and, if you drive well, will adjust the estimated mileage accordingly. The 21 is just what they can claim. It'll be different depending on the driver and the conditions. I usually see 30 without A/C.

Gave that a try today. I was worried I wouldn't get the cap back on right and it'd fall off, but seems secure. I don't have push button, so I just inserted the key and turned it to run to cancel the alarm.
