GM slashes price of Chevrolet Volt to boost stalling sales Brent Snavely / Free Press Volt sales declined 4.3% in May to 1,607 while industry sales increased 8.2%. Through the first five months of this year, Volt trails both the much more expensive Tesla Model S and the smaller, less-expensive Nissan Leaf. At one time, GM expected to be building between 60,000 and 100,000 Volts annually, but with sales this year through May of 7,157, that goal has been reassessed. READ MORE HERE

Nice blog, Doug. :) We're glad that you've decided to share your blog with us! :hi5: I like the following comment on your blog and I am certain other agree too: It's American I left American cars in the early 90's and didn't look back until now. I always wanted to buy American, but the look, quality and features just weren't there until now. The big three are making much better cars than ever and Ford's quality rankings are up there with Toyota in many areas. It's definitely time to come back to American car brands.

Concerned about the plastics in the front end

Good points here. If I hit another vehicle with my 1969 Mustang, it's like I'm running into a brick wall = 0 protection. My 2008 Mustang on the other hand might seem to have cheaper / flexible components, however, it has crash protection. As a side note, my 1969 Mustang has the 428 SCJ engine and weighs about 3069 lbs. The Fusion's in at 4,000 lbs. -

A lot of manufacturers are going with the mobility kit for two reasons: 1. Weight savings is critical. 2. Tires construction is better than ever before. The problem though, if you do have a failure with the mobility kit while traveling at night or on a weekend. -
