So I messaged Ford customer service department. They asked me if I would like to try the dealer again for a third time. Otherwise she said she sent me a link for additional Ford dealers. Not very helpful.

My Ford Fusion Energi was great until it stopped taking a charge around 76k. First Ford dealer didn't have a clue, second thought it was the charging port but after replacement thought it might be the Secondary on- board Diagnostic Control Module. Too much money to replace. My 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid hasn't had as many issues. I might feel more confident with a used Tesla .

My 2014 Ford Fusion Energi has the flashing ring since 76k. First Ford dealer said it was my charger. They didn't know the first thing about the car. The next Ford dealer was a hybrid certified garage. First visit they said charging port needs to be replaced. I replaced it. Still not working. Brought it back, now they're guessing the SOBDM. I've taken 3 days off and $204 for diagnosis. Guess what brand I'm not going to buy my next electric car from.

My check engine light came on because it said the fuel door was open. I paid the Ford dealership $200 to tell me a magnet was missing in the fuel door assembly and to also tell me I needed a new charging port for the no charging issue. They wanted around $350 to replace the fuel door assembly. I noticed a rattle in the fuel door. When I removed the fuel door cover I saw the magnet was loose. I pushed it back in to place and my close fuel door warning stopped. Took about two minutes. Unfortunately we consumers have to pay for the Ford mechanics learning curve.
