  1. My Ford Mobile is broken for me too. I can't connect to the car at all.
  2. You should be able to set up the Default profile to take advantage of your TOU plan. Here's how I've done it: First, delete all the custom profiles from the MFM website. Then go into the car and set up the Default profile from the touch screen, programming it to start charging after midnight. Then leave it in "Value Charge" mode. The downside of this is that you have to remember to put it back into "Charge Now" mode if you ever want to charge during non-TOU times (e.g. at a charging station you're not paying TOU rates for).
  3. I got an email from "Joy" as well. They basically tried to convince me it was user error. I responded but haven't heard anything back.
  4. No... I haven't pulled the #10 fuse yet, but in any case it's still not working.
  5. Sorry if this was already posted, but does anyone know where in the car the modem is located, or how to access it?
  6. BTW, I was able to update the Sync software myself using the files posted in this thread: http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/10558-version-38-available/
  7. Does anyone have any tips on getting access to the fuse panel under the steering wheel? I've pulled off the trim and I can see the fuse panel, but it's pretty far back in there. I have large hands, and I can just barely squeeze them in far enough to touch the fuses with my finger tips. I can't seem to pull out the #10 fuse though. Does it require a special tool?
  8. Adding: I've gotten the distinct impression over the years that many or most of the mechanics at these dealers don't actually understand this car or how it's supposed to work. The last time I had a problem (the 12v battery failure) I had to download the TSB for them and explain the issue to them step by step.
  9. Absolutely incredible.... So I took my car to the dealer to update the Sync software. My local dealer (Albany CA) didn't have any open appointments for two weeks, so I took it to another dealer 20 miles away (Walnut Creek). I leave it there for two hours and they tell me they updated the software. I drive home, and it's still not working. Turns out they did NOT actually update the software. They didn't do anything at all to the car. I guess they just thought I was so stupid that I wouldn't able to figure out they didn't update the software. I've absolutely friggin' had it with Ford and their crappy dealers...
  10. Was your Sync software up to date when you tried it? (I think it should be 3.8.) Trying to figure out if I should bother to go through this.
  11. Sure would be nice if Ford put this kind of information in the manual...
  12. OK, I PM'd you my VIN. But do I really have to take it to the dealer? My local dealer doesn't have any free appointments for the next two weeks. And they can never do anything in an hour. I always have to drop off my car in the morning and leave it there the entire day. It's a hassle.
  13. The owner.ford.com website says my Sync version (3.6) is "up to date." It was last updated 2014. But it looks like there's a 3.8 version out there. Should I upgrade to 3.8, and if so where are the instructions for doing so? This is a 2013 Energi. thanks
  14. I can't get MyFord Mobile to recognize any of my "Value Charge" profiles/locations. I think this started happening after the modem upgrade. Anyone else having this problem?
  15. Once again -- for the third time in three years -- the "i" fell out of the "Fusion" emblem on the side of the car. I've seen numerous other "Fusons" in the wild, so this is obviously a very common problem. I fully expect the "i" to fall off my car a fourth time, since it appears Ford is just replacing the old emblem with the same defective emblems when the dealer fixes it. The next time it happens will probably be past the 3-year warranty, but I'm going to insist the dealer cover it anyway, since replacing a defective part with another defective part isn't really repairing the problem. Not a big deal, but when you've paid for a nice new shiny car, it's annoying to have an obvious physical defect on the exterior. And it makes me wonder what other QC problems they're having (and glossing over).
