About Ceenvee703

  1. Trust me, I've had to depress the brake pedal for 12 years before starting my Prius, so I'm used to doing that. I'll double-check next time that it's completely depressed. Thanks.
  2. Just to add on to this thread, I've had the "flashing start button/will not drive" thing happen to me twice in the three weeks I've owned my used 2017 Fusion Energi. Last night I was parked on a slight incline behind my son's car (my old Prius) and every time I'd try to back up, it rolled forward instead. Turning it off and back on again (classic IT move) has helped. I guess I'll take it in to the dealer at some point if it continues. --cv--
  3. Thanks very much for the quick reply. It's good to know I'm not doing anything wrong and will try to line things up better next time. Thanks again. --cv--
  4. This started when my new used 2017 Fusion Energi stopped talking to the MyFordMobile app. After reading what a pain it was to pull the appropriate fuses to reset the 3G modem (?), I read that you could also disconnect the negative terminal on the 12V battery and let it sit for 10 minutes. Good news is that it worked and the MFM app updated immediately. Bad news is that when I went to reconnect the negative terminal, I got sparks when I put the terminal back on. VERY confused as to why, and I obviously don't want that to happen again. What did I do wrong and how can I avoid that in the future? (I'm sure the MFM connection will need to be reset again as I park in a parking garage and bad cell service is apparently related to the problem.) Thanks for the help.
