About Gregjohns

  1. I recently did a trip from Denver to Vail and noticed something interesting. I was at 0% battery at the Eisenhower tunnel heading west starting at 11,158' and going down hill to Silverthorn at 9,035', a trip that takes about 8 minutes. At the bottom of the hill I was at 35% battery, driving on I used the battery up, drove up Vail Pass, again back Dow to 0%. Driving down Vail pass to East Vail is 10,662' to 8,022' over 16 minutes where I recharged to 25% So, the question. If my car can recharge itself at that high rate, why can't we charge anywhere near that rate with any type of high speed charger?
