I myself just did a 6yr/75K Flood deal......(2nd time actually) and it was very reasonable. I wanna say it was $800.00 out the door. Both options. Lights/1st Rental.
-
Indeed, I agree. It's your life, live it your way!
-
Nicely put.....
-
I hope the 2016 in your sig is a new one. Used ones get 0 credit.
-
It's a credit.....not a refund. So unless you owe thousands to the Feds.......you're going to be rudely awakened.
-
I certainly agree. I personally never keep a car more than 4 years.....too much of a techie I guess! But yea, you're talking THOUSANDS more for your car vs. mine.
-
It must be. Mine is 2017 8K miles, obviously less than a year old since first titled. So the light option was 75, 1st day rental was 40, and rental upgrade was 60. Total for my car was 890, 6/75 0 ded w/lights
-
It's $75.00, $40.00 was the one day rental. And yes, your deductible applies.
-
All I can say is, if 45 dollars is gonna keep u up nights, then don't do it. Otherwise it's a no brainer. Especially with an LED car like mine.

Yep, Last comment from me would be, I checked every single quote from every online source, and, Ford directly. Flood beat them all....most substantially. Take care... Bill

Hi Jeff, Actually she didn't. I'm fairly immune to the Finance people, and their BS. I will say that I HAVE heard everyone of those lines you mentioned in the past. As a matter of fact my last new car, a 2014 Honda CRV, the dweeb tried the old, "In all my years, I've never had anyone NOT buy an extended warranty contract!" I simply told him I was honored to be his first....lol...he was pissed. I have to say, although I had maybe the worst car buying experience EVER with this dealership (in 35 years of buying new cars), I mostly blame her, the salesperson a little bit as well, seeing I just handed him a sale on a car that they couldn't move on their own. Right before both Christmas AND end of year totals. I have to emphasize, that aside from her outright illegal lie (that credit required it), it was still MY responsibility to read the fine print. I didn't. I can offer up many reasons, including the 300 mile round trip ACROSS NYC, at rush hour (took over 5 hours, all highway) but that is no excuse. All these damn years and I'm STILL learning......guess that called life...lol PS:The person at Flood Ford was outstanding to work with. No fuss, no muss. You can also pay with PayPal, affording you yet another layer of protection. No, I don't work for Ford, or any other automotive entity. I'm a pilot.....lol....

I know this is an old topic, but, the information bares repeating with my own personal experience included. If the Mods think I shouldn't have posted the Stealership name....then feel free to delete. I can prove all I say. Being that they are one of, if not the, biggest in the NE....people should know. Tasca Ford. Purchased a 2017 Ford Fusion Energi (used) sight unseen, as it was a Brass Hat with every possible option (stickered over 43K). Tasca is in RI. I am in NJ. Drove the 300 miles there, process to buy the car was fairly easy. There was really nothing left to do but sign. The problem didn't arise until the finance person got involved. Long (very long) story short. She sold me a 6yr/60 ESP w/100 ded. Bank required she told me, which was not only not true, but illegal to state that. I had no idea, and like an idiot signed and drove home. She charged me $2,800.00 for that warranty. I found out later that Ford DIRECT charges $1,100.00 for the exact same policy WITH interest free financing if you choose to go that route. I ended up buying from Flood online. 6yr/60 w/50 ded AND light replacement for $850.00 Also, this particular finance person (who I'm not naming, as I'm not through with her yet) refused to cancel the warranty. It took a Ford Complaint (3 actually) to get this resolved. Ford cancelled it directly....and must have told the dealership to refund my money, because I had a check within 3 days from the dealer. Caveat Emptor my friends.......

A little late, but yes, it involves flashing the PCM, my Ford Dealer had the software already.

Thanks.....I did check Ford, apparently it's a very cheap part, like $9.00......I was just curious if it's gonna cost me a bucket of cash if I had the dealer do it. I'm going in this week to have mudguards installed by a dealer that I bought directly, so was just curious if anyone knew. Appreciate the reply.... -
Hey gang, Any idea if I can replace the speaker cover that was sort of "pushed" in by my passenger trying to hold the door open with their foot. Thanks ! Oh, yes.....they're still alive.....

ACC with Stop-and Go
Boston_Pilot replied to ClaveMan's topic in Advanced Driver Assistance Technologies
There's a YouTube video that shows exactly what you're asking. Me personally, love it. It will take you to a complete stop AND start again (under 3 seconds stopped) and even at that a tap on the accelerator, or,the resume button....starts it all up again....Lane Assist, you can keep that. -
Thanks Cara.....tried your advice. The fuse pull (which I've seen advertised by others as "the fix") did not work for me. PM sent. Thanks again.....

That's just morally bankrupt. Just saying...... -
2017 (So no modem issues) neither App nor Website works for me. From what I can see from numerous forums/FB pages it's definitely a Ford issue. Not so much a year issue. My car is 2 weeks old, as mentioned.....neither works, at all.

Hilarious......built in Mexico dude, though I can understand your confusion. The Energi is, in fact Mexican. My wife's Toyota was built,in Kentucky......that make it an American car? Can we even define American anymore? -
