Murphy, I have been driving for 30 years. While I fully understand what you are saying, maybe I didnt describe the sound properly. It is a screeching type of squeal that I have NEVER heard on any other car I have driven. I was thinking that the sound was possibly coming from something to do with the way the batteries re charge while braking.

My Energi is always parked outside. And I back the car out of my driveway. I have noticed, either during, or soon after, a rain, when I back out of the driveway, the brakes will squeal pretty loudly. Does anyone else notice this?

Good luck. This seems like ONE OF THOSE THINGS. I bet It will happen with all the cars. And there will NEVER be a PROPER fix!!

If the pin was bent, it would give you a hard time ALL THE TIME.
-
I am willing to bet, the slightest variation in temp will THAW it out. if it is ZERO outside and then they bring it INSIDE, it is probably enough for it to THAW it.

I am almost sure it is the cold weather and I agree that moisture must be getting in and freezing the mechanism.
-
The temps warmed up today. I haven't had any issues!!

Not only did I have to push hard. I actually had to PRY it once it started to come.

We had a massive cold snap here in NYC. Temps in the high teens/low 20s for almost 48 hours straight. I unplugged my car this morning. Closed the cap. Out all day. I came home and the cap APPEARS to be frozen. I was able to get it open with multiple pushes. It came out partially and had to be COAXED the rest of the way. Anyone else with similar issues??

My name is Pete. I am a 49 year old white male. Living in the best city in the world, New York. Married for 25 years with 3 adult sons. All Ford drivers. With very few exceptions, I have owned Fords my entire life. In our house we have: 2006 Mustang GT Convertible, 5 speed. Screaming yellow with black stripes. All sorts of bolt ons as well. 2016 Focus. Gas Grey 2016 Fusion SE. Gas. Grey And a newly leased 2017 Ford Fusion Titanium Energi. White Plug in hybrid. One son owns a Saturn. I will be throwing him out of the house soon, if he doesnt buy a Ford in the near future. Lmao My kids love their Focus and Fusion. I love my old Mustang and I am driving the ENERGI as well. The boss, the mrs.,does not drive. The Energi is a massive gas saver compared to the other vehicles, especially the Mustang. I find it a CHALLENGE to use as little gasoline as possible whem driving. I actually find myself EASING ON AND OFF The gas. As opposed to the Mustang, where it is SLAM IT IN GEAR AND DRIVE AS HARD AS I CAN. LMAO. My one gripe with Ford. Can we please bring the production of the these vehicles back to the good ole US of A? One of the proudest things about showing off my pristine Mustang GT to friends is pointing out the UAW sticker in the window. Pleasure to join the forums.

The book on my 2017 Energi says that I should change the oil every 10,000 miles. Question: Is that 10,000 TOTAL mile? Electric and Gas Combined? Or 10,000 Gas miles?

Funny story. I originally had an issue simlly trying to access the MYFORD APP. I was on the phone with Ford IT Dept last week. And they helped me to access the app. 5 minutes ago, the same guy, Harry, called me to ask if I was able to access the app. Which I thought was very nice that they gave me a follow up call. After we finished with all the talk of the original issue, I asked him about the issue I am having with the GO TIME portion of the app. He asked me if I was getting an ERROR MESSAGE and asked if it did NOT WORK? To which I said YES. He went on to tell me that FORD's IT dept had trouble with the app and it was and still is PARTIALLY down. And it should be rectified soon. And hopefully the GO TIME issue will be correxted.

I sat in the car and adjusted the go times on the screen. It SEEMS to have worked. It is showing on my APP as PENDING. But the Wednesday time is highlighted. I am ASSUMING it will work. We shall see tomorrow morning. I have since tried to add go times through the app, but there seems to still be an issue.

I am sitting in the car with my ohone tethered to the car. I am trying to set the GO TIMES through the cars screen and I am still having a hard time.

I have T Mobile. Does that matter

Eric. Thanks for the input. But your response leaves me with more questions. Lol I have also been recieving the NETWORK ERROR. I use a 240v charger, so pre conditioning shouldnt be an issue. How would I use my computer to set the go times? I have ONLY used the phone app for everything. What is the computer website? When I log on, will it recognize me? Thanks Pete

Hi All. Pete here from NYC. I am the proud new owner of a 2017 plug in Hybrid Fusion Titanium Energi. Great car. I have some concerns with the MYFORD mobile app. I originally had issues downloading the app but finally got to the bottom of that. MY issue now seems to be scheduling the GO TIMES. Two days ago, I set my times for my work schedule. All seemed fine. I got in the car this morning and NOTHING. The car cabin did not heat. When I checked the app on the phone, it said that GO TIMES SYNC PENDING. So, I sat in the car and tried to figure it out, assuming it had something to do with the SYNC in the car. I could not figure anything out. This evening, after dinner, I deleted the original GO TIMES and tried to start NEW Go times. NOW, the app wont even let me make go times. I go to the app setting of CHARGE SETTINGS, Then I click VIEW SCHEDULE, then ADD. At the top it says ADD A GO TIME. Under that, it says: I WANT MY CAR TO BE READY AT: Then there is a clock which I can ADJUST. Below that, it says ON THE FOLLOWING DAYS; WHICH I CAN NOT ADJUST. Below that, it says CABIN TEMP: Which I can adjust BUT BUT BUT BUT.......It will NOT LET ME MAKE NEW GO TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very very very very very very Frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone with any ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Pete
