  1. I tried to QUOTE both of you. Not sure if it worked. Thanks for the informative posts. Much appreciated. I will play around with L and braking and see how it goes.
  2. 2 questions. Why would you lower it? and HOW do you lower it?
  3. Rbort. One more question. Better to COAST to a light, using L, or braking into the light? From a pure battery efficiency point of view. Which one would regen batteries better? Thanks.
  4. Coming from a guy that has an 06 GT Mustang. With massive horse power. And is a MASSIVE gas guzzler. I have this to say to you guys. I am use to MASHING the gas pedal and driving very very fast. Passing people, at will, as I down shift past them. So, I could see the point from "MY14" But as a young man just a few months from my 50th Birthday(LOL), I could certainly appreciate the points of "rbort" . As I get older I am realizing that I have to leave this world to my children and future grand children. My 3 boys are in the young 20s. I am hoping I can lead by example and help my boys to help the environment. My sons are in love with my Energi. They are FORD drivers as well. They drive ICE cars. But all 3 of them are looking to get some sort of HYBRID/ELECTRIC as their next cars. MY next car is going to be a Tesla. I made that promise to myself. I still occasionally get in my MUSCLE Car and MASH the gas when I feel the need for speed and want to act like a 20 something year old But, at this point. I am driving more like an 80 year old grand ma. LMAO. I will find the happy medium!!!
  5. WOW!!!!!!!!!!! That was a mouthful!!!!!!!!!! BUT YET....Very very informative!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Much appreciated. Thanks!!
  6. I was reading the owners manual last night. They reccomend NOT to use the L. Saying it compromises mileage. Your thoughts? What is ACC? Thanks
  7. Copy THAT. I thought just the opposite!! Live and learn!!. I don't have the steering wheel heater. I didn't get that option. DO you have any other tips? What about the use of L to slow the car? Good or bad for REGEN? I have played with it. It slows the car DRASTICALLY when you release the gas!! The HILL Option? Good or bad? Use on Downhills? UPHILL?
  8. Is the seat heater a better option? I need to learn these things. Thanks!!
  9. Damn, it is colder than a Witch's t!t here in NYC. 13 degrees when I went out this morning. I couldn't get my GO TIMES to sync, to warm the car. A story for another thread. Anyway, I got in the car to make a 9.3 mile, ONE WAY trip. Which I can usually make THE ROUND TRIP without using the ICE. The car told me my battery life was FULL but only had a 12 mile range. I start the car and IMMEDIATELY, the ICE kicked in for a few minutes. Before I finished my 9.3 miles, the batteries were GONE and I was using the ICE. I didn't use any seat heaters or raise the vehicle's heat too high. I am not a big heat guy. Just enough to make it comfortable. Just sayin' Have a great day all. Go Steelers!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I try to hit 100 every time. Most times I hit it. My initial thoughts when I read your earlier post was, perhaps I am doing something wrong. Or perhaps there was a SWITCH to hit that would use the electric motors to stop the car.
  11. Yes 2017. It still opens and closes. Just gets stuck in the very cold weather. When I know it is going to be cold, I will leave it open. I can live with it until it no longer opens and closes.
  12. I try to brake as infrequently as possible. Coasting mostly to stops. Please explain whatbyou mean by REGEN TO STOP. Thanks.
  13. Just an update on my brakes. I am pretty sure the noise is NOT from rust. I drove cor quite a few miles in the rain the other day. Parked in my driveway. Pulled out backward a half hour later and the brakes squealed. I have to ASSUME there was NO RUST on them.
  14. I am glad I made this post. Seems like I was not the only one with an issue. Thankfully my door is not broken YET. But I will certainly make myself aware of the temps and weather conditions and keep it open on the colder days.
  15. OK, I understand. The way I read your original post, I MIS UNDERSTOOD to believe that there was some sort of ELECTRICAL button INSIDE the car. My error!! Thanks
  16. Please explain? There is a DOOR OPEN AMD CLOSE button for the PLUG IN DOOR?
  17. Mine was stuck as well this morning. It was only 28. Below freezing. I knew it was gonna happen.
  18. Cara, it is not the GO TIMES per say.....It is the ENTIRE APP and Website!!!!!!
  19. Mine is a 17 as well. I mentioned all my issues with thw app and website
  20. The problem I have is that it works now. Didnt work yesterday. Worked a week ago. Might not work tomorrow. May work in 4 days. Today, the text message that the car is charged doesnt work. Tomorrow the trip log works. Last week, the GO TIMES worked SOMEWHAT. The bottome line is, you get something different everytime you log on.
  21. Murph, I see you edited my words. Lol. I thought the $% was enough. Lol. Anyway, back to the app and website. I am not the most adept at the web. But who does Ford use as IT to work on these things? They seem so user UNFRIENDLY. Ford should call an internet idiot like myself. And ask our opinions. Lol
  22. Could someone please explain what is going on with the MYFORDMOBILE app and website? These things happen, and happen frequently, with BOTH the app and website: I hit the LOCK DOOR and the doors lock but it says FAILED Same for UNLOCK, START.... The last few times My car is fully charged, I have not gotten the text that the car was fully charged. The website does NOT show all of my trips. It is almost like it picks and chooses which trips to show me.
  23. It only does it in the rain and in reverse. Only when the car is cold. Stops after a few times.
